Prince's Island reminds me a lot of Vancouver. It's a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is in an ideal location, right on the river and a few minutes from the downtown core. The park is considerably huge with large deciduous trees, lush gardens and a cafe on the island. With the changing of the season, the colourful leaves add a whole new beauty to it.
This is a beautiful park with trails going both sides of the river, with nice little spots to hang at. There's a food truck here aswel. Family friendly, but high traffic of bicycles, roller skating, joggers and scooters along the trail. Absolutely amazing park in the summer .
A nice park for family going on weekend and workers spending their day off. Great grass land surrounding playgrounds. The park is on the bow river, connected with bridges, the most famous and iconic one is Peace Bridge. The park was built on land, and donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family. Prince Island park is the Central Park in New York. Amazing place to visit if you are tourist.
Enjoyed the most delightful morning in Calgary! Prince’s Island park is a beautiful, serene place to enjoy nature at its best. There are trails that run alongside the river, benches to relax on and take in the beauty and as you can see, the flowers are absolutely stunning in the summer!!
We’ve spent here great time together with friends and kids. Excellent location for the whole family. There is nice play ground inside the park, many places to sit and relax. Make sure to take food or snacks with you and enjoy your day as much as you can!
A Calgary classic. Prince's Island Park not "Princess" is a must-see. Its right in the centre of the city, just north of downtown on Bow River. I love this park cause it has a little bit of everything; flowers, trees, walking/biking paths, rivers, open fields, a cafe and even Enmax Stage where concerts/events are held. Great park, definitely worth a visit.
I love this park which is right in downtown. It offers spectacular views and there is a kids playground as well. I only wish we had stayed nearer to the park.
I love the board over the bridge to get to the park and all the seating along the way. Big beautiful grown trees lots of shading. Just absolutely beautiful for a stroll.
Great Place, having events over the weekends. Ppl do walking, cycling, jogging etc. Surrounded by Bow River with greenery. Connecting Bridges. Can spend approx 2 hrs.
My favorite park!!!! The are plenty spacious space for family to get together, eat, walk, enjoy the bow river and many things to do during weekend.
