Elliston Park

Globefest 2022 was amazing again this year! The park is a perfect facility, with lots to see and do. BUT, the organizers have GOT TO fix the bus situation for parking! The wait for a bus SHOULD NOT BE longer than the fireworks performance!!

An excellent park with easy accessibility from the Ring Road and International Avenue. It is the perfect place to host GlobalFest. The amphitheater style banks around the lake make for a natural stadium to watch the annual event. The pathways and playgrounds are a great place to take your children to burn off some energy. The International Pavilions and food trucks are amazing during GlobalFest too. Bring bug spray with you because there is a lotcof grass for the mosquitoes to pop out of. They weren't horrible, but they are there.

A fantastic park for the whole family! Very large play structure, a big field for running around and flying kites. And the accessible path that wraps around the pond is beautiful!

Not much to look at. Lots of birds in the storm pond. Takes 45 minutes to do the loop. you don't see the busy roads around the park but you can hear them

Beautiful park with the changing of the season. Park with wide open green space with some benches and lots of room for a picnic, surrounded by trees and in the centre is a elongated pond. We saw blue heron, ducks, Canadian geese and other small birds. Some sections are paved, while the surrounding pathways around the pond is entirely gravel. The park recently added gray rocks and gravel which isn’t packed down. It can be dusty and bumpy to bike or walk on. A new kid’s park is nearly complete. It looks like the City of Calgary staff are finishing the final touches planting the flower beds and trees. The kids will be happy! Oh, this is also the place where Global Fest is held last month. Park is near the East hills shopping Centre and International 17th Avenue.

First time here for Globalfest. I love photographing fireworks. Lots of space. Lots of people but not so big that you feel crowded. The sunset, the layout, all the food trucks and vendors gives you time to enjoy before the event starts. Even getting there while slightly expensive at $7 a head for bus including return still gets you right to the entry point and picks you up at the same. The transportation is a school but so us adults can reminisc about the younger days. 23$for am entry ticket brings it to $30 per person. There is a VIP option but unless missed it, I didnt see a family option. The fireworks were amazing for the India performance.

Global fest is great. Awesome event for the whole family, world class fire works displays.

Beautiful place to take your dog for a walk and enjoy the scenery.

Always a great time at the dog park with our little Roscoe! There is a large off leash area for dogs to run and play.
