St. Patrick's Island

Very beautiful and peaceful. See lots of birds and a great view of downtown.

Beautiful place to visit and gorgeous walk along the river! Connects to Fort Calgary and East Village. Pay parking on the Zoo West side, washrooms open in mid spring and summer.

Calm and relaxing park away from too much people mostly they are in Prince’s Island Park There’s a pond where you can have a picnic, chill on a blanket, throw stones on the water or just look at the calm canopy of trees. St. Patrick Island is a bit long, connected to Calgary Zoo. There’s a really good trail for running, fireplace/grill, clean washrooms and parking lot.

A very beautiful place for enjoying your day off.

The city has really cleaned the park up and made it a wonderful addition to the Bow walk and to downtown. Lots of events going on during the summer and fall there. An enjoyable way to get to Inglewood, Bridgeland, or downtown.

The City of Calgary has done a wonderful job of creating a peaceful, enjoyable path to walk along the river here at St. Patrick's Island, day and night. These photos were taken after an outdoor showing of Aladdin 2019.

Great place to go for a walk or bike ride. Really good early in the morning.

This place is a great addition to Calgary downtown. So much to do with the family and a lot of great views and sights during both day and night.

Parking isn't great but love walking in this area. Our two year old enjoyed the bridge and walking through the water on the rocky "beach". We didn't even have time for the playground which feels different than others in the city. I like how the east village puts on events in the summer weekends too . They had fun family games out for anyone to play.
