Read some of the reviews, stay here for the first time and then make your own reviews on the place. Visiting from Toronto and wanted to get away from the city (this way it's cheaper and you get to experience the beauty that is NS). You can complain about the "staffing", the washrooms but what do you expect from camping?!?! You are not in the city so yes you'd be expected to stay at a place where there is sufficient plumbing. In my opinion the washrooms are clean (the fact that you even have plumbing at a camp grounds is crazy). Really got a great spot, the space is secluded from the other campsites. With a killer view to boot. One of the reasons why this review has a decent rating is thanks to one of the staff members, Dave, who really went above and beyond "human interaction" (as some of the reviews said) he suggested local spots and eatery and new attractions to go see. He held a really great conversation with me whilst helping me pick up some firewood. Advice: Look at Loop C (if a smaller group)

although this park has been a great place to camp we found that this year with less staff to over look the park our campsite was unlawfully entered and some of our belongings were stolen.

Excellent park, horrible system! This year they have this "yellow phone" system that's a complete joke. Get informed about this nonsense before heading out. Our experience was saved by the maintenance guy Dave that went above and beyond from his duties to make a difference. Unfortunately won't be back until I see that yellow phone in the dumpster.

Beautiful park with large private and semi private sites. Flush toilets and hot showers. Also have some serviced sites for RVs but should add more. The lake is beautiful. Bring your canoes or personal watercraft.
