Story

Murphy Cove is a 7th generation coastal fishing village rooted in history as a hub of boat building, blacksmithing and rum running.

Relax at our community campfire with a plate of complimentary freshly steamed mussels and listen to the strum of a guitar, tales of local folklore and the nearby waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

Soak up a sunset boat tour or challenge host Brian to a game of crib. A sea-lover's paradise! Come visit and enjoy a slice of old fashioned Nova Scotia hospitality!

Beautiful little campground and great people. Have been here several times over the year's. The only problem is thier dump station. Not very accessible for larger trailers, no sign, and no water to clean  with.

Murphy's was an excellent place to camp. The owners here bend over backwards for their clients and seemingly cannot do enough for you. They sit by the fire every night offering free mussels for everyone and coffee is on at 7 am for everyone as well. They offer boat tours at additional but affordable cost.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be going back again.

I go here every year . Great spot great people look forward to every July 1st.  Relaxing,  boat tours,fishing, camp fires with lots of stories and free mussels. Free Morning coffee  . Sometimes even fireworks and entertainment.  Was lucky this year and went 3 times.
See you in July

Nice little campground even though a bit remote. We found there wasn't a lot to do around the area in bad weather. Our site was good even though there was an old abandoned trailer sitting there taking up half the site closest to the water and power so that we had to borrow a garden hose and cord to connect.

Apparently the local mussels had some issue so that they couldn't do their famous campfire mussel boil and the water had some issue as well and was posted not drinkable. Weirdly, their dump station is positioned on the wrong side so if you have it on the normal side of your trailer/RV, the drivers side, then you have to turn around in someone's driveway to get at it. Kind of silly. I  suspect that when some of these issues are not happening and the weather is good it is an enjoyable experience here.
