Pomeroy Hotel Grande Prairie

For the most part I always love staying at this hotel. The location is great, staff friendly, the hotel appearance is clean and modern. Rooms have been clean, breakfast fantastic.nThis trip was a bit of an exception... the bed was so 'creaky' you couldn't roll over with out waking your partner up for the crazy creaking of the bed. I don't know what the bed is sitting on but it needs to be replaced.nThe bath room was clean, needed a bit of repair as the trim was swollen and eaten away from water damage.nThe shocking thing was opening the cupboard under the sink and finding a fully filled garbage of food!! that was unacceptable and made me wonder what else had been over looked... sheets on bed??? Grossed me out.nI will say this is the first time I have ever had a negative experience here so I don't plan on giving up on the property but hopefully management will have a chat with cleaning staff and have couple repairs done.

The service throughout my stay was top-notch—whether it was housekeeping, front desk, or room service, everyone was professional and courteous. WE especially appreciated the attention to detail and how the staff went above and beyond.nnThe hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with great amenities and a convenient location. If you’re looking for good nights rest stay away from here. It’s on the main drag so tons of traffic and noise outside. The doors on the room nearly have to slam shut so they close very loudly. I could hear my neighbour opening and closing the door but none of his fault cause the doors are impossible to close quietly. Beds are very hard and probably need to be replaced. Pillows are clumpy and not that comfortable at all. I would suggest a hotel off the main drag and in a quieter area.

We stayed 10 days. The price included breakfast, which was huge. A full buffet. We had our small dog with us and it was $15.00 For the first night and $5.00 after that. Which was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, plenty of towels, soaps etc. The cleaning staff also very professional and ready to help. We also used the computer area, and both restaurant & bar. Steak was amazing. We were able to shop at the mall and it was a quick walk to other stores. They placed us on the upper floor away from the bussle of the swim and hockey clubs which also made the stay enjoyable. Parking was a bit tricky. Overall, we had great sleeps and enjoyed the overall ambiance. Thanks Pomeroy

Hotel has great amenities, but the best part was the attentive service of the staff. Went above ensure we had the room we needed. The included breakfast was in a very nice room and was exemplary.
