During the London Outreach, I successfully completed several transactions, including an SPA, a Report of Death application, passport renewals for my children, SSS benefits and membership updates, and voter registration.nI want to commend the office for its excellent organization despite the limited space. The process was smooth from the start, with helpful staff guiding us from the hotel entrance lobby up to the registration and queue lines on the service floor.nWhat I appreciated most was how the employees treated me. Even when I lacked forms, misplaced documents, or felt confused, they went the extra mile to help. It was a highly satisfactory experience.
Very disappointing experience at the DFA Philippines Consulate today for our dual citizenship. The female officer who assisted us was rude and unaccommodating. Our application was not accepted because we only had a photocopy of our PSA birth certificate, even though the copy was clear, colored, and fully legible. Since they only keep a copy of the document anyway, it was frustrating to be turned away over this issue.nnWhat made the experience even more disappointing was hearing that other applicants with similar photocopies were accepted by different officers. The inconsistency in how requirements are applied is unfair and confusing.nnWe took a day off work for this appointment and ended up wasting our time. There was no consideration given to our situation and no effort made to provide a reasonable solution. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed.nnI hope the consulate improves its customer service and ensures that requirements are applied consistently to all applicants.
nnI would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto for their successful outreach program in London, Ontario, held on May 23, 2026, through the support and partnership of the Filipino Community of London, Ontario.nnA heartfelt thank you to Consul Katrina Isabelle Borja-Martin for facilitating our SPA documents with professionalism, efficiency, and kindness. We also sincerely appreciate Ms. Ann for assisting us with our SSS documents and patiently addressing our inquiries.nnThe outreach program was very organized, convenient, and truly beneficial for Filipinos in the community. Thank you for bringing these important services closer to us.nnMore power to the Philippine Consulate General Toronto team, and thank you for your dedication and excellent service to Filipinos abroad!
I had a very frustrating experience with the Notarial Services at Window 3 on April 30th. The lady staff member was unexpectedly rude and unhelpful, which is not what I would expect from a government service.nnMy appointment was set for 12 noon, but when the staff called me just before 1 PM, she insisted that the timeframe was actually 12 to 1 PM, accommodating 10-15 people in that slot. This miscommunication was confusing and frustrating as the appointment clearly states 12 noon.nnAdditionally, the appointment details were unclear regarding the number of passport photocopies required. I brought two copies, but was informed I needed three for my two sets of SPA documents. I was directed to the 4th floor for an additional photocopy, which only accepted cash, forcing me to find an ATM outside the building. It's frustrating that these services aren't provided on-site for free. This shows no consideration specially to older people.nnAfter my trip to the ATM and back to the 4th floor, I explained the delay to the staff. Instead of understanding, she argued that it wasn’t their fault, stating that the required documents were listed. However, the appointment details were misleading. The appointment confirmation only gives you links to the websites and not exactly the requirements. It would have been helpful if the appointment specifically indicated that I needed to provide three copies for two sets of documents for example.nnOverall, this experience highlights a significant lack of consideration for the public. We deserve better service from our government, and I hope those working in these roles approach their responsibilities with sincerity and a genuine desire to help.
We did a renewal of passport for my 3 minor children. They are fast and accommodating and friendly. I am also happy that my husband and I were able to register to vote in the next election.nnKeep up the good work mga kabayan! We appreciate all of you
