Bona Fide BBQ

An honest review: First time trying this place and I have to say that I am impressed with the food. I ordered the roasted duck and roasted pork on rice for take out. The service was speedy and good. The taste of the duck is by far really delicious and I appreciated the nice crunch on the skin of the roasted pork. The taste deserves a 5/5 rating. I think that the portion size of the take out could use a bit of improvement, very little vegetable and more sauce seasoning is needed. I think that the price of around 15$ is fair but is somewhat on the pricey side but then again prices are increasing everywhere and inflation. I am overall impressed with the food as it is much closer to drive here than to Chinatown for Chinese BBQ. 4.5/5 Stars

Heard a lot of mixed reviews about Bona Fide BBQ in Brentwood Mall so decided to give it a try to see for ourselves. Got the 2 items combo, one with BBQ pork & soy chicken and the other with BBQ pork & free range chicken. I thought the food was pretty decent and actually a lot better than some other Chinese BBQ places. Close to $16 each, definitely not cheap but reasonable considering everything is so expensive nowadays. Service was friendly and efficient.

Yummy BBQ meats and lunch boxes. Good portion and fair prices. Very quick service. The rice noodles took longer though as they prep each one on demand. They import the Vita Soy Milk bottles original / chocolate from Hong Kong, so you won't find them anywhere else! They take credit cards.

Ordered the BBQ and roasted pork with rice dish, and a hot and sour soup. You get a combo deal with the soup if you order it with a main. Bbq was good and well prepared. Skin was crunchy. Great for food court.

Got their Wonton Noodle Soup. .broth is good almost like chicken soup. They put 4 wontons in the soup with noodles, also contains a few slices of bbq pork. Their plain wonton soup comes in two sizes regular.and large. i think the regular has 8 wontons and the large contains 12. Overall its not bad for a food court place

I was really uncomfortable with those unclean skins. The duck meat was really dry and soggy. The chicken has no taste. I came here with high expectations, but the service was not only slow but also disorganized. I'd neither come back nor recommend it to friends

I come here to grab Chinese meats. A little pricey but the quality is great. Juicy BBQ pork, with good amount of fat. BBQ duck is a good choice too. Sometimes the lines can get long during the afternoon so be prepared to wait a little bit.Recommended dishesRoasted Pork, BBQ Duck

Came on the first day they opened August 8 to check this place out. Looks promising, but sadly it was a bit disorganized with customers everywhere. Lined up or at least I thought I did for about 5 minutes and the line never moved. Another line formed on the other end which isn't the staff's fault I suppose. Have been back twice since and was happy to see they're more organized now with a proper queue in place. Tried several meats and they were all good. Bit expensive for the BBQ meat on rice plates but they're pretty good. Haven't tried the other prepared items but will be coming back.

Honest review: T&T makes a lot better Cantonese BBQ than this. Let's say there's big room to improve.

Don't get their steam table items. Ordered a two items combo and they used leftover BBQ meat to re-fry battered then deep fried the sweet and sour pork. Super fatty, hardly edible. Waste of money. This is their 2nd chance, last time was bad as well. Not planning to. Go there again. Try something else in the mall.
