Been wanting to try this place for a while. Fresh bread and fresh beef donair/durum are hard to find. Bread was nice meat was decent shaved like a good Berlin donair. Was a good platter. Would try again. service was ok food could have been more warm.Food: 4/5
I've had lots of donairs/gyros/wraps offer the years but I never knew that Berlin-style doner was a thing. I ordered the chicken doner which is very similar to most other donairs I've had but wrapped inside a soft pita. To be truthful, I actual prefer Turkish-style donairs but the flavours here were pretty okay. They have rotating spits but you'll probably notice that the meat they use comes from a heated container. If you're wondering, health regulations in Canada require a secondary cooking method. The doner they made was filled with a generous amount of chicken. Flavours were good but seemed to have too much sauce. They tried to grill the pita a bit but the pita was a bit too soft. A bit expensive at $12 but prices in malls have gotten really high so this isn't too bad compared with other stalls here
I ordered Iskander Kebab. It was one of the worst food I have ever eaten!!! I can say it was not Iskander Kebab at all. It was more a beef doner rather than Iskander Kebab and it even did not look like as the photo in their menu. No hot sauce at top. I have been in Turkiye twice and I know Turkish cuisine very well, like doner Kebab, Adana Kebab, and Iskander Kebab. What is more, it was full of oil and butter. It is absolutely unhealthy. The price doesn’t seem reasonable in comparison with the food portion. I don’t recommend it. Trust me.
This is their keto box. It was $14 ish They do have the shawarma grill, but they have kept all the meat in a food container. I mean, what is the point of have a shawarma grill? Just for display? At the beginning I thought it was a temporary thing, but I been there for 3 times, and there was no improvement. But the warp was acceptable. I would modify my comments if I see a improvement. Thank you!
Thought I struck gold when I finally got a Good to Go deal but clearly didn't. When I arrived, this small box with salad on top was there with another set. When I showed my order, they removed the salad and gave me this: soggy fries with sauce-less dried meat. Not sure how this is worth $18.99 est value when in my opinion it isn't even worth $5. Was hoping to try this place for regular price after sampling this deal but definitely will not be.
Edit: To all who think I am a fake reviewer: I wish I was : No one would enjoy good food more than I would, but my experience is real. I have nothing to gain from lying. I may give them a second chance in the future and add another edit, but for now it stays. Back to original review: Absolute horror, avoid like the plague! As a Turkish person, I’m ashamed of the abysmal quality and the audacity they have asking these exorbitant prices. This place should simply close, permanently. The food you get is almost kids portion. The beef tastes bland, chicken is not well seasoned. Koftes are tiny and dry. Sucuk, is basically uncooked. Check out the picture to see the sorry state it was served. A proper sucuk should be the length of the entire wrap, an inch thick and well seared on all sides. Not tiny raw round slices. They cook on demand, meaning for something so simple as putting five ingredients in a wrap, you wait at least 15 minutes. It’s unacceptable. I truly wish there was a lower score I could give.
Really friendly and energetic staff helped us choose the beef platter - which was very fun and delicious. Minus 1 star for the silly glass guard set up. In our current covid climate, customers in this neighborhood / demographic really expect MUCH BETTER protection. I see other customers lean on the glass; i see other customers reach over with their heads and limbs. One cough or sniff and you basically lost half the lineup or any return business.
Absolutely great! Every little piece of the meal has a deep, unique taste to it. This is especially prevalent with the platter, from the spiced Bulgur to each of the salads, to the meats and mezzas and sauces. But more impressively, the mix of flavors together is exquisite. Today, I had the Doner Box, and it feels like a 5-star poutine with a delicious Middle Eastern Twist! Highly recommended for anyone passing by Brentwood for a quick tasty meal!
I got the beef doner platter. Everything is tasty and delicious. Too much salad which make the price unreasonable and high. Staff are nice and friendly
great staff great food. serving portion was right amount and plenty of options. will definitely come back for this platter.
