We eat at Pappy's for breakfast or an occasional Friday night dinner stop. We are never disappointed with the food we get for the price. The Saturday morning waitress on the cafe side ( the brunette who has been there for a while probably late 30s or 40) is on the ball she will never let your drink go empty. She's a top-notch server. This morning went their (Sun am) food was great, they had 4 waitresses that couldn't keep up to what the Saturday morning girl does. Drinks when empty but as usual very sweet and nice service.

Despite getting the booth right next to bathroom and across from kitchen, we still enjoyed the food. It is large portions of home cooked goodness done right. The whole menu is classic American home cooked, deep fried comfort food. I had the sunrise burger which has hashbrowns,cheese,a fried egg and a 1/2 pound burger. It was almost too much, but super delicious. UPDATE: after having such a delicious meal the first time we went back to try other things on the menu. Tried the open face today beef sandwich, the turkey dinner, and kids burger. There was so much gravy on the roast beef I had to dig to find the meat. I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but it looked like they put on chicken gravy first then the beef gravy over that. Not a fan of chicken gravy with my beef. Gravy was salty,potato's were instant mashed. The turkey dinner gravy was yellow. The turkey was dry and also swimming in gravy. We were disappointed this time and given the service and dirty environment we won't come back.

This place always has the best food ( like grandma always made) around . This the first time I have tried the steak. Now I question why I would buy one any where else. Oh my goodness..

Wow. I am impressed. There is an overwhelming focus on food here. That is made clear by the 20 year old tube TVs that ring in my ears. The food arrived just a few minutes after ordering and was so piping hot I had to wait. The wait was painful... Because the Gyro omelette I ordered was so amazing, I want to live in it. Well done Pappy, whoever you are.

We come for breakfast during the week and love the food. The staff is excellent; they get the food out fast and they keep the coffee coming. We love Pappy's!
