Spent almost 3 weeks here while working in Prince Rupert I have no complaints the staff was friendly rooms were kept clean personal items were untouched building was having renovations done while I was there water was brown BUT that’s a Prince Rupert issue not the hotel, having said they did supply drinking water daily no complaints here
Rooms are basic, but clean and great value. I especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and would stay again.
Initially, booking was smooth and the staff were helpful with invoicing, which we appreciated as a company. Unfortunately, one of our technicians experienced bed bug bites over several days, and another physically spotted bugs in the room. When reported, staff seemed uninterested, and the team had to relocate at 9 p.m. for health reasons.nnWhen I followed up, the manager denied knowledge, blamed her vacation, and offered minimal resolution, covering only one night. The rooms were also reported to be dirty and loud.nnWe understand bed bugs can happen, but the lack of accountability, poor communication, and dismissive attitude were unacceptable. We won’t be returning.
While the staff's friendly and accommodating nature was a definite plus, and the hotel's affordability in comparison to other Prince Rupert establishments is undeniable, the deplorable state of cleanliness overshadows any positive aspects. The rooms were shockingly dirty, with carpets so filthy that guests would hesitate to remove their shoes. Evidence of neglect was rampant, from rotting drapes literally falling apart to grungy lampshades harboring unknown substances. The rusted and stained bathtub was a particular low point, with housecleaning seemingly neglecting even the most basic rinsing during our four-night stay. While towels were replaced daily, the bed linens remained unchanged, and the floors went unvacuumed. Even the windows suffered from prolonged lack of cleaning. While the price point might appeal to budget-conscious travelers, the pervasive filth is inexcusable and cannot be ignored.
The mural outside is probably the best part about this hotel. My room was unfortunately very, very gross. I counted 7 different hairs read: pubic hairs on the duvet alone, which was also stained - and there were toenail clippings scattered throughout the bathroom. The front desk person was quite nice and helpful, but overall it was not a comfortable or enjoyable stay.
