Story

The Inn on the Harbour is situated on a bluff overlooking the busy Prince Rupert harbour. More than half of our rooms have a view of the Pacific ocean. Within walking distance of shopping, services and attractions, Inn on the Harbour is ideally located in the heart of Prince Rupert. We are steps away from the bus drop-off for airlines and Greyhound bus and just a short drive from ferry and rail terminals. We are pleased to offer a smoke-free environment for the comfort of our guests.

On route to the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, I overnight in Prince Rupert with my workshop guests. The Inn on the Harbour is a short walk from the bus station where you are dropped off from the airport and very convenient. The harbour view if beautiful. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are nice. Beds and pillows are comfy. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Prince Rupert.
Inn on the Harbour was a great home base while we explored Rupert. While the room we stayed in which faced the parking lot- our choice wasn't the fanciest or most up to date, it served our needs perfectly well. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again.
Originally, the inn was next to the rail station making it an ideal location. The rail station moved further out of town. A taxi is needed to travel from the rail station to the property. The inn is one block to the airport shuttle.nnRoom was clean and well stocked upon arrival. Ran out of toilet tissue over three nights and no one would restock front desk person couldn’t leave her station but said housekeeping would be up in 20 minutes- no TP. Good water view. Binoculars in the room for watching boats and birds. Windows that open is nice to have fresh air in the room. Guest laundry on site! A wash is $4 + cost of detergent. Drying is also $4.nnPrince Rupert is a cruise ship port, and a fishing destination. Possible tourist fatigue. Guest service is spotty at best. If there was a seat on the outgoing flight the day after arrival, I would have departed early. The weekday breakfast attendant was shockingly rude to guests not me, but more than one or two other people. While seated in the lounge reading I overheard the staff complaining about their jobs.
My husband and I stayed at this awesome hotel! We were happy to find they have pet friendly rooms with a harbour veiw. I don’t think you could ask for a nicer, cleaner and more modern room. Everyone we met there was genuinely accommodating. Very pleased that Prince Rupert has a high end hotel without the “ high end attitude “. See you next year!
It was an effortless check in with two lovely professional front desk ladies who were helpful as well as kind. Continental breakfast was different in a good way, there was staff who also assisted with everything. The only thing we did on our own was get our coffee. The room was clean, comfortable and the view was so beautiful albeit it was raining the entire time we were in PR. I absolutely appreciate that this hotel is dog friendly, I enjoy taking our border Collie with us when we travel. Check out was just as lovely as the check in. The entire experience was positive and I highly recommend.
