2 months and still no reimbursement on a prescription. Just says pending and I've contacted them. I was told up to a 43 business day wait. Go elsewhere, if this place wasn't provided by my work, I'd leave in a heartbeat. Service was better before and after covid, they have just gotten to cheap to hire more people, I guess. Holding off on ordering more prescriptions as who knows when I'll actually see the money, if ever at this point... See picture of their email included.
By far the worst health insurance I've ever dealt with. Overall, these companies are as cheap and difficult as possible but Pacific Blue Cross truly takes the cake.nnI had an essential medical procedure covered under numerous providers but Pacific Blue Cross denied this coverage despite numerous letters from my doctor. In addition, their online submission is awful. There are many procedures I've had to mail in because they aren't available to submit online. They only have a select few select medical expenses which can be processed online.nnFinally, when you do send in materials OR if you have to submit additional documentation ex extra forms, appeals etc. it takes 6 - 8 weeks. The first time around, they lost one of my forms and didn't take any responsibility for this mistake. There's no way to bypass the process apparently, so I had to resubmit to wait another 6+ weeks.nnI'm part of a group plan but will be contacting the provider to suggest they go with literally any other insurance company.
Not happy to say the least. I wanted to change my plan my anniversary date was May 2024 its now June I reached out to make changes I get notified by the agent that I can only do this every year on my anniversary date? Oh gee wiz thanks for letting me know this prior to my day. So I either pay for services i don't need for another year or I just cancel them all together as I don't want to be giving them money on services i won't be using. Be more upront with your customers.
Easy, efficient & amazing response time! I would say, to stream line things it would be helpful if I didn't have to keep putting in my name & other info, when there is multiple claims for the same treatment & professional. thanks
I will mention the positives and the negatives to help BPC improve customers experiences.nI find customer service to be good. They answer my calls after being on hold for few minutes.nThe app and the website claiming process is fairly straightforward.nService providers are familiar with PBC requirements and rarely have issues with missing information or documents.nWhat really bothers me is the loooooong processing times of claims claims that are not directly billed.nAfter I submit a complete claim with no missing documents, It takes five weeks to 9 weeks to get reimbursed.nOther insurance companies processing times are a maximum of 1 week.nI hope this review helps potential customers and PBC in the same time.
