So glad that I gave this place a second chance because it has potentially the best breakfast/brunch food in the city. The breakfast poutines are especially good I recommend getting half spinach/half potatoes. I also always go for the mango smoothie. The yellow decor is also to my liking. Good service.
Amazing breakfast spot! Super fast service too! There were 18 people ahead of us when we arrived and were told it would be about a 30 min wait. We got seated after about 20 min and had our food after a short 10 min wait. Everything cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!
THE best breakfast place in Saskatoon. The Breakfast Poutine is absolutely fantastic. Try the Gold Digga, you will not be disappointed. My wife tried the Not So Boring Brioche French Toast and loved it. The cinnamon and orange flavors in the bread are present but not overwhelming. Service was exceptionally quick and incredibly friendly. The restaurant is a great mix of casual and classy. Do yourself a favor and come here for breakfast/brunch.
It was okay, nothing special. The hype behind OEB wasn't what I was expecting to be. Was greeted by an amazing server. When we got the potatoes for the eggs Benny it was kind of cold, and a few tasted moldy like when you taste a moldy potatoe I'd definitely come back and try something new. But I may choose another restaurant vs this one.
I have visited this new comfortable breakfast place before Valentines Day. We still requested the vaccines doc before we enter, which is good for visitors to keep everyone safer. I have ordered A-LOTT A-LAKS for my lunch after work. This is the first time I visit, so I pick this special name on the menu - Our Signature Breakfast Poutines. For the taste, I enjoy my medium cooked eggs with crispy skin and soft core homemade potato chips, which brings second layer flavour. Smoked salmon with sauces tastes so smooth and creamy when this delicate cooked ingredients together. The waitress is really kind to explain what I am questioning, also give me very detailed information about the two dishes I am confused. For the price, $23 for a fish dish in SK for this high quality service and brand new location restaurant is not too much. While I am waiting my dishes, more people come to visit and wait on the line. It was 14.00 while I am waiting, still attracting people come to have a brunch. I really wish I could have a chance bringing my girl friend to enjoy breakfast here on Valentines.
A huge fan of OEB for over a decade however had not been to the new location in Saskatoon. Well this location did not disappoint. The environment, service, and food was amazing!!! A very busy Sunday afternoon so I was seated at the bar. My server was the best and I took her recommendation. This was the best meal of my three day road trip. Thanks OEB
As much as I believe food quality and service is the most important foundation of a restaurant, OEB offers a unique atmosphere that makes it feel special compared to other brunch restaurant in Saskatoon. Great selection of food, tasty and high quality. Friendly staff that prioritize your needs and questions. Parking can be difficult, since it's placed besides a park and an art museum.
I got "artisan bagel sammy" and hardy ate it because the bagel was too difficult to cut although they brought a bread knife. Then I told them the bagel doesn't seem fresh and learnt that the bagels come frozen from Calgary to Saskatoon ‍ I was also told that there is a nice bagel shop in Saskatoon if I really want to eat bagel ‍ then why don't you buy your bagels from that shop? Instead, you give your customers a bad breakfast?! In addition, please see the fruits on the plate. Why does kiwi have its peel? How can people eat it in this shape? Well, the egg and the avocado could have been delicious if I had eaten them alone without the bagel. That's why I gave 2 stars. P.S. I've eaten different recipes in OEB's other branches. I liked them so I chose OEB in Saskatoon as well. However, the artisan bagel sammy was a disaster. Don't order it if you'd like to have a nice experience.
OEB should be a staple breakfast spot for anyone in Saskatoon. The food was incredible. All the ingredients are farm fresh and straight to the table. They also have a great coffee and lattes to boot, anything to scratch that morning itch. I will warn that there will be a wait most mornings as it's a popular spot. If you have the Yelp app you can join a waitlist which works with the resturant to time out the time to be seated. Make sure to plan ahead with this one, you won't regret it!
The ingredients are very good and fresh, presentation is good, but the flavor is a let down. The potatoes and proteins are tasteless apart from really salty. Coffee is as good as Timmy's or any instant coffee you can find in the supermarket. The two thin slices of smoked salmon on my Benny just look so sad.. The waiting staffs are not rude but also not warm nor welcoming. There is nothing terribly wrong about this place but there is also no wow moment throughout the entire meal. Definitely the most overhyped restaurant in Saskatoon.
