Oak + Fort

Love the simplistic designs. I don't love everything, but one of my most favorite coats is from this store. It's so unique and the fabric is amazing. I get compliments all the time. Once again I am not a huge fan of everything, but they can have good pieces here and there.

I bought a jacket at the Toronto Eaton Center location of Oak+Fort, and was told of the "return" policy which was 14 days. My parents bought me another jacket without telling me and so I went to return the one I bought a day later (not even 24 hours) and was told they only had an "exchange policy". They would not give me a refund even it was the staff that sleazily and conveniently did not mention that by return policy they meant exchange or store credit. I talked to the manager explaining the situation, and was denied with "understanding" smiles. I emailed the store, and the same thing happened. Customer service "understood" but could not help me. What store doesn't have a return policy? They trap you into buying their clothes because they are too insecure with their product. If a store was confident in what they were selling they wouldn't need to trap customers in sleazy ways to buy their product and be stuck with it forever...Awful. Just ridiculous.

I found this brand when I travelled to Vancouver last year. It is my favourite brand in Canada! Nice design with reasonable price. Hope they're going to reopen the location and Yorkdale. Besides, this one (shops at don mills) is the best one!!!

I love this brand from Vancouver, minimalist classic pieces with great cutting. Works for weekend chic or work. Prices are between Gap and Aritzia, fairly affordable for what you get.
