Aroma Espresso Bar

I'm surprised that people are reviewing that the customer service is great at this location. This aroma location has continually given me extremely poor customer service. I work in the plaza and have continuously heard about their poor customer service. I thought to myself, "it can't be THAT bad, maybe the staff were just having a bad day." So I decided to check it out for myself. I have come to this location twice at different times to see if the service improves or gets worse throughout the day. On both occasions I was extremely disappointed. Not only do you usually have to wait about 10 minutes in line before you even order, when you reach the counter the staff don't even offer you a kind smile. I felt as though I was burdening them by ordering, based on their attitude throughout the interaction (on both occasions that I visited). One moment that really stood out to me was when I arrived there in the morning and a customer had politely asked if it would be possible for the staff to refill the water jug so she could have some water. The staff on shift responded, "Yeah, just give me a minute, I'm hear on my own." Imagine how awkward that customer must have felt after that interaction? I felt awkward for her. If you order food here it will usually take about 15 minutes of you to get the food as well. So realistically you should budget about 35 minutes here, only to order and receive your food... this doesn't count however long it takes you to eat. Plus you can expect a sour attitude from the staff.

I have been to several coffee and food establishments, such as Starbucks and Second Cup, but none of them quite compare to the service and quality that I get from Aroma. A big, beautiful coffee with a touch of milk is consistently fresh along with a delicious croissant (an occasional treat) are the best. While the line up at certain times are sometimes a bit long, the product is definately worth the wait. However, it isn't just about the product, it's also about a customer service experience that is second to none. With a nice patio and a spacious interior, it isn't too difficult to find a seat. It's a great throw back to the times where you had a regular place to go with your friends and family, a place that you can hang out for a bit and not be rushed out (even when busy). I would strongly recommend anyone to try to stop by and grab a coffee and a bite to eat!

Went in there tonight at exactly 8:45pm (according to my phone) intending to buy some hot chocolate for my friends. I was told, immediately upon entering, that the store closes at 9pm, so the bar and kitchen are already closed. I wonder if the owners of this franchise know the children they have running the place are turning away business when the restaurant is fully open. If you close at 9pm, that's when you close the kitchen and bar, not before. Ridiculous.

Dirty toilets, run-down seating & then bad service on top! This pathetic server pull away drink to fast burning hands… where's mgr when customers abused by ignorant 4eyes geek who don’t know nut-meg allergy doesn't require 20/20 to see perfectly what's right!!
