First time going there. I was so happy to see so many varieties of pastries , desserts, Gelato, even groceries like cheese, sausages , sauce , etc all from Italy. The service was excellent. When I first walked in, a young girl already acknowledged me and said hi how are you to me, that's a plus , I wanted to try diff.pastries so I asked her to choose eight diff types for me. On the way out I noticed they have a point system , that's a great way to bring clients back. All the staff had a smile yesterday , it's a cute busy store and I will definitely go back there very soon Thanks to all the good and bad reviews ade me go to Novello

Selection of cakes and pastries is great. Pricing is reasonable. They also offer frozen dishes like lasagna.. I bought a blueberry cheese cake, taste great. I like it not overly sweet. Friendly staff, will certainly recommend this place to my friends.

Bought a variety of different desserts. The desserts were all delicious. Staff was very friendly and the prices for the desserts were reasonable. Not only do they sell desserts and pastries, they also sell bread, gelato, and hot foods as well.

This small Italian bakery has a good variety of desserts reasonably priced. They also sell Gelato which is a huge hit for this little gem. It became my to go to shop for Canoli and tiramisu. Very authentic and considered less sweet baked goods. It definitely has huge customer base because after the store closed there's numerous customers stopping by with disappointment. I witnessed this a few times during my visit while enjoying their yums in the parking lot. This little shop is a rare one in the Markham area.

My first time here. I tried a bit of everything; cookies, biscotti, pastries and cake. It was really good and fresh. The staff was friendly she spent her time telling me what each pastry had inside. I was pleasantly surprised how much stuff I got for a good price. I'm going back that's for sure, so happy I found this gem.

Jul2021: Terrific Italian bakery with gelato, baked goods, espresso and prepared foods for takeout. Friendly staff too. Very fond of the porchetta sandwich with sweet peppers and mushrooms.

Great desserts. Your budget may not allow you to shop there currently. Prices are on the high side. If you do indulge, you will love their treats! Recommended.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What can I say!!!!!! Went there this afternoon with my mother who was craving dessert. It’s our first time here, was greeted by staff and the owner Grace, who were very friendly, kind, helpful and sweet. I purchased the Torrone & Nocciola Gelato ice cream cake. It was the best ice cream cake I’ve ever tried. Took it to work and the staff loved it! All sorts of assorted breads from olive to baguette, to sour dough and various other grocery items. This is my go to place going forward. Please if you have not tried this place, go visit and you will see, it’s a hidden gem ! Thank you again Grace and your lovely staff and please tell your daughter her cakes are out of this world. She is beyond gifted!!

Great bakery with all the usual sweets you would find at any other Italian bakery. The prices seem reasonable too. Had the hazelnut bomba. The Nutella filling was good. The bomba did have a little too much sugar for my liking, but the taste was great. Overall, excellent place and the service I received was quick and efficient. Definitely going back to try their gelato and hot food. I agree with one reviewer that the parking lot situation is really bad. Update: have been here a few times since and still love the whole offering here! This summer I got try try their gelato and their very own gelato. The novello’s own, which consists of pistachio, ricotta and orange. So creamy and definitely refreshing! Total recommend! Service as usual is on point! Great job! We've come here multiple times for their gelato and it has always been amazing. This time, we decided to order two cheesecakes for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, both cakes were semi-liquid in the center, and only the outer half of the cakes were solid. I called in and was told by the owner that this is normally how they come and nothing could be done. They tasted fine, but the texture and appearance were unexpected. This is simply a heads up for anyone looking to order a cheesecake that you'd have to be okay with them not being solid throughout.
