Great rye buns and bread, good croissants. Cakes of mixed quality. Very limited whole grain selection. Good value for money. However, you can wait a long time for the server. At several occasions, they did not take my order at all, so I read my book and left after 1 hour. Since the staff is not friendly either - as long as your not Portuguese - I'll not come back.

Really slow service if there are more than 1/2 doz folks. Pastry is like Fresh Co....Bread slightly better, but no where close to Mabel's. Good if you want to buy a lb of cheap cheese

Fresh baked goods, tasty coffee and comfortable seating are some of the highlights of this establishment. I occasionally have visited for the past 8 months, and each time the quality has been consistent in their products and their service

The buns and breads are always so fresh and they have a great selection of pastries such as shrimp patties, cod fish cakes and custard tarts. The customer service is terrible though.

One of my go to places for bread. So far my favourite custard tart in Toronto, baked on site. Service can be a bit slow for take out when the tables are full. Staff are covering all duties. Be patient.
