This place deserves “world number one ice cream”!!!! All the tea flavours are so authentic and strong!!nnI ordered Hong Kong milktea and Jasmine with Matcha; I strongly recommend jasmine with Matcha, this is the best tea flavour of ice cream I ever had! It’s not sweet and it feels so refreshing with strong aftertaste of the green tea. I can even taste the real tea leaves in the scoop! The milktea is smooth as well! I like the bubble waffle, it’s freshly made and it’s crispy outside and soft inside.nnMy friend ordered the Bible waffle too and she got Earl Gray at the bottom of the scoops, which is good too!nnThis ice cream totally worths the price with $9.5 for 2 big scoops of ice cream with the bubble wafflennWe went there on a random Tuesday afternoon but still there’s a long queue before we got our order; which proves how popular the shop is!!!!nnFor sure I will be coming back and try other tea flavours too!
I’ve tried so many ice cream and gelato places, but nothing beats Bang Bang.nEvery single flavor here is mind-blowing, and despite the endless flow of customers and how busy they are,nall the staff members are incredibly kind and sweet.nMy friend and I tried the Matcha Tiramisu, Lo Yogurt and Bobopapa Milk Tea, and they were all absolute perfection!nI seriously recommend having them with a waffle too!
Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery on Ossington remains an absolute Toronto institution, and even on a packed, warm Saturday night with a line wrapping down the block, it proves why it’s worth every minute of the wait.n​The standouts of the night were our all-time favorite flavors: London Fog and Totaro. The London Fog hits with a beautifully rich, aromatic Earl Grey tea profile that isn't overly sweet, while the Totaro offers that perfectly smooth, nutty blend of rich ube and creamy coconut.n​We paired them with their freshly made Hong Kong egg waffle cone bubble waffle. While it takes about 20 minutes to prepare, the contrast of the warm, crispy-yet-chewy waffle against the cool, dense ice cream makes it an absolute must-try.n​Atmosphere: Lively, bustling Ossington strip energy. Expect a queue during peak weekend hours.n​Standout Pairing: Totaro + London Fog on a fresh Hong Kong Egg Waffle.n​Verdict: 5/5 - Excellent flavor execution and unique pastry pairings that justify the hype.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this place! I’ve tried five flavours so far: Totaro, campfire marshmallow, vanilla bean custard, banana pudding, and lampone my love. I tried campfire marshmallow twice, and it’s my absolute favourite. I’m definitely coming back for more. The second place offers lampone my love, an amazing raspberry flavour.nnWhat sets this place apart isn’t just the unique flavours, but their quality. They don’t feel chemical, unlike many other places, and I’m quite picky. I also tried their sammi, a cookie ice cream sandwich with any combination you choose, which I really enjoyed as well. They’re definitely sweet, but the sweetness is perfectly balanced, never overpowering the flavors.
Stopped by Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery and finally got to try their matcha and pistachio ice cream. There’s almost always a lineup here whenever you walk by, but honestly the wait moved pretty quickly and only ended up being around 10 minutes, which felt very reasonable considering how popular the spot is.nBoth flavours were really solid. The matcha had a strong earthy flavour without being overly bitter, giving it a nice balanced taste that still felt creamy and refreshing. The pistachio stood out too with a rich, nutty flavour that tasted more natural and less artificially sweet compared to a lot of other pistachio ice creams. The texture on both was smooth, dense, and creamy without feeling too heavy.nnThe atmosphere around Ossington always adds to the experience too, especially on a nice day when the whole area feels busy and lively. After finally trying it, I can definitely understand why there’s consistently a lineup outside. Overall, a great dessert spot that’s worth the short wait.
