Northwinds Hotel Canmore

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and exactly the same as the pictures. The online check-in option was great and checkout process was quick and easy as well. We didn’t hear any noise, the place was calm. Good location, only 20-30 min away from Banff and 55 min from Lake Louise. Would recommend staying here.

Our stay at Northwinds Hotel was fantastic from start to finish. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. We especially loved the cozy fireplace and the sliding glass doors that opened up to beautiful views of the surrounding mountains—perfect for enjoying the fresh mountain air. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and spotless, they do use Rocky Mountain soap company products which is located downtown if you want to pick some up or you can buy it at the hotel.nnThe hotel is in a great location—just a short walk to downtown Canmore, with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and local shops nearby. Very close to Rocky Mountain bagel cafe which has amazing bagels! It was so convenient to have everything within walking distance. Despite being close to the main road, the noise level in the room was minimal, and we had no issues getting a good night’s sleep.nnThe front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay—we’d definitely come back!

Great location near Canmore Town Center and very walkable, about 12 mins away. Across the street is Boston Pizza, Subway, and other stores. The room was lovely, beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom is very clean and good size. Our room had a sliding door to go outside and had a great view of the mountains! Service was really great. Front desk was very kind to print out a park pass for me. All praises for this hotel. Would always come back here.

This property is centrally located, safe, and quiet. It has been beautifully and tastefully renovated. It is adjacent to a restaurant which gives you 15% off your meal if you dine there. Staff are friendly and approachable. They also have pet friendly rooms.nThe hotel has a policy that if you are staying for more than 1 night, staff do not refresh your room with towels etc. But they did! I came back for the evening and my bed was made, bathroom refreshed and I had new towels.nMy rate for the night was affordable and you are surrounded by incredible scenery.nIt is worth staying here!

If you don’t want to talk to anyone and you’re going to be out and about, this hotel is very adequate. The check-in is done online, so no interactions are needed. The room was simple and fine, but the bed needed to be cleaned better—I discovered piles of different lengths of hair on the mattress protector. Rooms with adjoining doors offer limited sound dampening so you can hear the people next door easily, almost like they’re in the room with you. I recommend bringing your own pillow as the hotel’s go flat immediately.
