This was a very pleasant experience at this hotel. We stayed here a couple of years ago, and it was even better, as it was under construction back then. The service was good, even though the room was not ready when we checked in, even though we only had to wait 5 minutes and then were able to go to our room. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. A very good stay and I recommend it going forward to stay when in Canmore.
Comfortable stay, spacious room and close to eateries. The mountain view is 360. So it doesn't matter what room you stay, you get an amazing mountain view. The hotel has no elevators but help was available to get the luggage’s upstairs.
Absolutely perfect stop for those looking to visit Banff but avoid the huge crowds.nnThis place was clean, quiet, and the service was exceptional. They even left us a little towel teddy bear on our bed upon our arrival. You are about a 10-15 minute walk from a great downtown areannCanmore has more than enough to do and is much more affordable with a great, walkable downtown core.nnWill definitely make this place a mainstay for future vacations.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.nHighlights:nService is super friendly and going above and beyond to help when we had issues.nOverall feel: clean, newly renovated, modern. Feels very nice. Fireplace in the room is a nice touch.nnHowever there are a few things where it comes to the attention to detail that can be fixed without spending tons of money.nThe rooms that have into the parking lot need some privacy preserving window coverings that let the light through. As it is you have to choose between the daylight or privacy. With the curtains open anyone who parks in front of your window is 3 feet 5 from your bed.nThe toilet paper holder keeps falling off the wall.nThe shower has a nice water flow but it hits hard, like water massage kind. And it's the only mode. So it's a bit like washing under the fire hose.nThe AC unit was producing unpleasant oily smell when turned on for heat. Maybe because it was new? Luckily they have fireplace in the room which was a more pleasant way to warm the room up.nFinally, not something that is easy to fix is the fact that rooms have zero soundproofing. You can participate in the conversation held in the next room without raising your voice. We listened to the whole drama that the guy next door had while talking on the phone. We heard both him and the lady on the phone.nThey also had some parties there where people would just come in and out through the window facing the parking lot that was next to ours. It was awkward when we were trying to sleep. Luckily they didn't make noise too late, so we were able to get decent sleep. But if your neighbor watches TV late or gets up early you might not have as much sleep as you were hoping for.
We booked with this hotel for a one night stay to break up a long drive. During the leg home, avalanche control closed the roads and we were stranded in BC for the night. We called the property and understood that we could not cancel
