We traveled to Canmore with our two dogs and were delighted to find a centrally located hotel that welcomes pets. Our room was quite clean, though it was somewhat dated. The shower was very small, and I’m unsure how most men would find it comfortable. Additionally, the TV was quite small, and the walls were paper-thin, so we occasionally heard other guests’ alarms in the morning. Not to mention, the train runs multiple times throughout day and night. However, if these factors don’t concern you, the hotel is overall quite good!nnWe quickly discovered that our bathroom sink was clogged and promptly informed housekeeping. They arranged for maintenance to address the issue right away. So, while there were some drawbacks with the room, all staff were very friendly and helpful.nnA few things we really liked about this hotel are.n- $6.99 breakfast buffet. You can’t go wrong with that and everything was made very good. They had some really awesome features like, Belgian waffle maker, cereal station, juice station, and a lot to choose from. Food was always fresh.n- parking. Parking was free and really easy to manage.n- they had a pool, although we didn’t use the pool it’s a nice feature for their hotel.n- it being dog friendly! I called before hand to make sure there weren’t any size or breed restrictions and they were welcoming of our 2 large dogs. We had our Doberman and our boxer stay with us and everyone was super nice about it.nnOverall, it’s a good hotel for families. Thank you for accommodating us!
The location was fine, most stuff is walkable. It was just unfortunate that the main lobby is in shambles at the moment, but we understand renovations are needed from time to time. The front staff weren't super personable, but they did what they were supposed to do.nWe had a room that had one of those doors that opens between both rooms, and our neighbor must have been smoking because it smelt like it often. Thats not really the hotels fault, but it was kinda just a bummer.nWe will come back again, I'm sure. We look forward to seeing the renos.
I went to the hotel with family. Reception was wonderful. The staff was awesome. I booked on the phone at the very last minute and the reception was able to accommodate me.nnThe main attraction is breakfast. It's very economical. It was around $7 for adults and $6 for kids. If your kid is younger than 5 years old, breakfast is free. Rooms were ok.nnYou don't even need to call room service. They clean the room every day.nnIt has a pool and hot tub as well. It has little Rec room as well. My total stay was under my budget. I don't think you'll be disappointed.nnI will definitely stay again with Canmore Inn.
Amazing place if you want to listen to children playing tag in the hallway. Do not stay on the third floor if you want a peaceful time, children run through the hallway to access the water slide because it isn’t attached to the pool building. The footsteps shook our room. My friends have demanded that I include that when you are using the toilet and kids run by the running will vibrate your entire body.nnThe rooms are alright but somewhat outdated. The layout in the family rooms is a little odd. Needs some renovating. The rooms are very clean.nnService was great. I travelled here with my friends and the staff were very friendly and understanding. We decided to shorten our stay of two nights due to the noise from kids and we only had to pay for one night when we explained our issue to them.
We were forced to book at this place because all other places were already booked. The location is good however, the room was really shabby, the beds creak at night, the room heater/AC makes loud noises all night, they did not provide new set of towels on the second day, and finding parking can be a hassle. Can not recommend to anyone unfortunately.
