Good hotel. Costs double what it should, paid over a $1000 for 2 nights which is insane. Breakfast not included and parking not included!nNow the reason I was disappointed with the hotel is I paid extra for a room with “Patio”. The patio is 2 plastic chairs on a parking lot on the bottom floor. In what world is that called a patio?? the extra charge was more than the cost of the 2 plastic chairs in front of the room.nTo be fair, they did switch me to a higher floor and waived the $10 parking fee to keep me happy. But I’m still disappointed that you have to play detective online to figure out your booking a parking lot not a patio.nnWould probably go back. But wouldn’t pay more than $250 max per night, if that ever exists again these days
Best Hotel in Canmore. Would have given 5 star for sure but the black lady at the reception was extremely rude with us. Highly recommend.. Just if possible have minimum conversation with the lady at the reception. Otherwise it was near perfect. Also try 'The Table'..Rooms, Pool, Gymnasium, Location everything is perfect. Even service and security was top notch!! Thank you Coast Canmore..
Pet owners be aware!!nTheir website is so misleading with advertising to be pet friendly with oh just bring your pet it's only a $25 fee per night. But when I called them to confirm they insisted you have to book a special room otherwise there's an additional cleaning fee and it's not mentioned on the website at all.nThe rep keeps saying I should book from the pet friendly page to get the right set of rooms, but it brings me to just the regular booking page with regular rooms.nImagine actually bringing your pet there then finding out you'll be charged the not advertised price.
Overall the stay was good. Beds were a bit firm for our needs. Pool and Hot tub were good. One front desk lady was really brisk and a bit rude. All other staff were great. Good location, not enough parking. On-site restaurant is Very expensive, and served alot of seafood. At rates of over $300 a night I would have expected breakfast included or at the very least to be discounted. The really nice thing about this hotel was the wood burning camp fires, however this was closed early. Overall a good stay with a few negatives that left me disappointed.
Location within a few steps of the bus into Banff was a great feature. Room was clean and well-appointed. Great to have a Keurig in the room. I did not fully understand the housekeeping schedule as explained at the front desk.
