Yummy yummy seafood. There's a multi-course option for 6-8 people that comes with huge portions of lobster and crab, and other things. Great value for what you get. If you're not Chinese, don't worry, the menu's in English and the people are very friendly!Food: 5/5
This is my mom's favourite restaurant and they really do have fantastic Cantonese food at super reasonable prices. She drives from Ajax to have dinner here almost every week. Our faves so far are the fried honey oyster, crispy fried cuttlefish, snowpea shoots with oyster mushrooms, and the stirfried pork neck with vegetables. My mom recommends the single order items over the large group combos. If you want something familiar to compare it to: both the taste and value blow Congee Queen out of the water. Plenty of comfortable seating, clean facilities and high quality ingredients that you can definitely taste. I think they deserve so much more business than they're getting. They're even open late, which is rare right now. The location and the fact that they're geared towards the niche of older Cantonese folks definitely easier to communicate if you speak Chinese who mostly moved up to Richmond Hill and Vaughn now, is probably the reason they're not busier. They could definitely use some more advertising to get their name out there. Plenty of people would be willing to drive outside their neighbourhood for great Cantonese food! Absolutely check this place out if you're one of them, and help spread the word because I really want them to stay in business. Cantonese restaurants are getting rarer and rarer nowadays. Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian items, but an important note: Chinese culture doesn't have vegetarianism outside of Buddhist practices. So be aware that say, eggplant pots have minced meat, oyster mushrooms are typically cooked in abalone sauce etc. You will not be warned about it because it's natural for us to not need to think about the animal products in our traditional dishes. Ask clearly when ordering. Parking: There's a lot of parking in the plaza because there's a supermarket next door. Parking directly in front of the restaurant is hard to get so I'd say just park near the supermarket and walk the extra minute or two.
Picked up a few dim sum items over the weekend and the food was prepared fresh and pretty quickly. I haven't been here since before the pandemic and I'm glad to see that they've renovated to have a much cleaner space. The dim sum we got was pretty good for the price. I believe they have a discount for cash pick up.
Decent food for in a pinch! Had this recommended for dinner as it was being raved about. Food was good, but nothing outstanding. The price is very reasonable which is always nice to see, especially with the price of everything g going up! Ordered takeout, so didn’t experience actual service, but they did get our food on time and everyone enjoyed themselves. Heard the dim sum is good too, so maybe next time I will try that out first. Would recommend if you’re at a loss for places to try them out as they do come through clutch for getting your Chinese food cravings in! Nostalgic dim sum hall with decent food. Not sure why others complained about the service here but it was warm and efficient when I came here. Foods arrived within 5-10 minutes upon order. The siew mai was excellent: fragrant, meaty with the right amount of tenderness and chewiness. The crystal dumpling was quite bland inside. Price was reasonable.
Pretty good dim sum place! It can get quite packed, but you'll be seated fairly quickly. They have quite an expansive dim sum menu, and the pricing is fairly cheap! You have a lot of dishes at small or medium pricing including popular dishes such as the har gow, which are both under $5! The quality ranges from fair to good, and portion sizes are large for the price. Service can be spotty/chaotic, but that's pretty typical for a busy dim sum spot.
Dim sum with a large menu and reasonable prices. Dinner here is also pretty good. Must try would be the spare ribs in special sauce.
I came here with a group of 4 and we spent about 11 dollars each. They only accept cash so best you bring some there's an ATM at ICICI which isn't a far walk though and better if you come really early in the morning to get a spot. But I think the cooler menu items are offered after 11am. One of my favourtie dim sum restuatants. Last time i visited they were really understaffed but my most recent visit changed my mind. Definitely come here with a group of people.
Decent prices, food quality is average. We are impressed with the service.
Competitive prices, fresh and tasty food. The place is fairly clean with updated renovation.Food: 4/5
