The portion sizes are huge and we had lots of left overs. The seafood is one of the best I have had! It’s a bit on the pricey end, but is a good spot for family hang out/formal occasions. They do have a daily special - make sure you order that. I went on a Monday and the special was the Peking duck - very yummy!
2022 March 3 Located right by the train tracks and a medical plaza, this restaurant stands out with its impressive front facade. While a bit dated, you come here for the food. Being a large restaurant, they offer a variety of foods ranging in price and quality. Overall however, the taste isn't bad. Nor nothing to brag about, but if your looking for a place to host a lot of people, the ample size and plenty of parking makes this a good candidate. The vegetarian dishes were surprisingly good. So was the shrimp. Everything else was good. Standard, but good. A good option for very large groups with decent food.
Came here for both a dim sum lunch and dinner recently, and was happy with both experiences. The restaurant is spacious and generally you won’t have to wait long for a seat. Dim sum prices are on the pricier end, but you get generous portions sizes. For dinner service, they have a number of seafood and Peking duck set meals that offer great value! The quality of the food is good, not my favourite Cantonese restaurant in the GTA but definitely still a good spot for it.
Really enjoyed the dim sum at Very Fair Seafood in December of 2021 before Omicron rolled in. The restaurant has been here for many years and has gone through some changes but it was full of happy clientele when we came by. And when you get tasty well prepared dim sum for decent prices with experienced service, then you'll probably be pleased too. The menu tells you the morning price scheme, but note that special items are excluded. Order by checking the item you want and wave for a server. They'll take the menu from you and you can take a few moments to enjoy your tea and company. Your dim sum items come out to your table as they are prepared and you share and savour. The ginger layer rice cake seems to be a trendy item and it was well prepared here with a light pan finish. The other items also showed that good touch, although on that day the rice roll was just a little stickier than I prefer. The big free parking lot is a bonus, it's easy to find east of Kennedy and Finch, it's big, bright and clean inside. At the end of my visit, I saw a group that popped out of a big pickup truck with Colorado plates heading in. Long drive, but I think they'll be glad they stopped by. I'll be back too. Enjoy and take care!
Real Chinese food at a fair price. Some dishes were hits, some were a miss. Great for large groups too. They have large water tanks for seafood, it could be fresh but some of the lobster we had didn't taste fresh. We've been here multiple times, eating a range of dishes from simple Chinese cuisine to authentic, traditional dishes. They have a large dining area and lots of staff running around to serve.
My family had our Christmas dinner here and we made reservations for the set menu. Everything was delicious and the service was incredible. Every table was taken and everyone was enjoyed all the tasty delicacies. Overall a wonderful experience and great value too!Food: 5/5
I will not say this is the best Dim Sum restaurant to me but a very decent place to come together with friends and family. Foods are good, size is decent and the restaurant is big enough for large group. Will come back to try their seafood dishes :
We decided to come here for early morning brunch on Father's day. We arrived here around 9:45am there was one group ahead of us who got a number. We were number 2 and party of 2. What I noticed is a really shameful practice by other patrons. There would be people who come in and speak to the hostess on the other side of the restaurant and they would get a table before us. We saw about 8 tables given to people who supposedly were on a reservation list??? Well the perception from us was that we were getting put to the back of the line. It's a real shame because the food is pretty good and the waiters are actually nice and attentive. We ordered siu mai, pan fried pancake with preserved meat, fried taro dumplings, pan fried pork, shrimp with chive dumplings $12.99, minced pork with preserved egg congee, fried capelin fish, and steamed beancurd rolls. The food is on very pricey end. We were thinking they had the early bird special before 10:55am but it's only valid Monday to Friday and excluding holidays, and weekends. The bill came up to $72 with automatic 12% gratuity. $2 per person tea charg3 also added as well. The service charge was unjustified especially when there's an issue with the hostess who made us wait about 30 minutes while they were seating these so called affluent VIPs ahead of us. Try to treat every customer with respect and dignity or else you will lose alot of customers. I will definitely not go back here based on the poor experience from the front end and the exorbitant prices.
Came here with a friend for weekday morning dim sum and the crowd was mainly seniors. Banquet hall style dining, service was very quick, fair prices and you get a discount if paying by cash before 11 am.. only thing is they charge for tea usually it’s complimentary at most places . All the food we got tasted really good, large portions, so glad I took it to go! We ended with the best desert: egg tart and cheesy custard bun Definitely recommend this place !
I've gone here many times and the quality has always been excellent. Price is quite fair and the portions are large. The shiu Mai is big and delicious. Even during the pandemic they did take out and their portions were very big. This is one of the better dimsum places in Scarborough area.Food: 5/5
