Wai Yu Lau Restaurant

The place charged us 90 for a fish and their attitude was very bad when my friends and I asked why is the name of the fish and its price not on the menu. They claim that it's just temporary and the fish there was a whole tank of that kind of fish will be gone by next week, that's why the cost is not on the menu and they even blamed us for not asking the price. They said it's bass but that bass is different than the bass they have on the menu so charged us a much higher amount. What a lousy excuse. After eating there all 10 of us got food poisoning. I strongly believe it is the famous cold chicken dish that we all ate and the severity of our symptoms directly correlates with how much chicken each person ate that day. I did notice there was some redness between the bones but didn't raise any concern at that time. Obviously we've reported this place to Public health. Needless to say, I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone!

Been here a few times. The chicken hotpot is the best. You can have it whichever way you like. We ordered the lamb and napa cabbage with it. Service was decent for a chinese place. Best part is that its opened late.

I have been to Wai Yu Lau at Midland a few times. The chicken , egg yok oyster, and many more are quite delicious . The portion of the food is quite small. It's always full, booking is recommended if you are going there with a few friends. There is a minimum charge of $200 dining inside the rooms.

Dishonest and Horrible service . They always increase the prices and charging few more dollars on each dishes. Let’s say your final bills should be “40”, thus they charge for 50. I went there for few times, and this situation happened few times, so it is not a coincidence, they meant to do it. Horrible!

Food is ok. Service is the worse.

Services are horrible. The servers are rude and impatient. The price they charge was always higher then listed on the menu. When you ask about why they charged more, they become aggressive and rude.

Scammers, They saw that my Chinese is not proficient so when i ordered in Chinese they tried to sell me stuff that is not related, when i asked for a return they gave me the wrong order purposely. 1/5 scammers, poor service hope you go out of business and all your illegal labour is exposed

Come here for generous serving of chicken bones and skin with a side of second-hand smoke indoors. What a deal!
