Nautical Nellies Steak & Seafood House

I always thought of Nautical Nellie’s as a tourist trap but after going here for their new brunch launch, I have changed my mind. The food was actually really well prepared, the flavours were balanced, the dishes were different and interesting and the owner and chef truly are trying to show Victoria how much they care. Prices were reasonable and in some cases lower than comparable restaurants and cocktails and non-alcoholic choices were also well made. I’ll be back for brunch again for sure.

Seafood was amazing! Steak was a little disappointing. We came with a large group for lunch & all seafood ordered was a big hit. We especially recommend the lobster grilled cheese. We also got the raw oysters which came with a very delicious spicy butter, lobster rolls, volcano sushi roll, and salmon. Everyone who got a lobster grilled cheese brought home leftovers. Flavor of lobster was present but not overwhelming. I had the filet & it wasn’t as tender as I would have liked and it didn’t have much of a flavor except some black pepper. It was still good, but not great I ate all of it! Service Barb was great! She provided great recommendations & was very friendly.

food was out standing. service was flawless. ordered the 53oz tomahawk steak *for myself* it was so good I ate more then 40oz of the steak plus dessert. if your a steak lover definitely go here. good variety of steak. outstanding flavor. perfect cooking. all in all 10/10. this place will be a regular stop for me as a steak lover.

Quality dining experience. The food and service was fantastic. Try the mussels with wine and garlic, oysters, and the crispy calamari, all were delicious. They also have a decent happy hour 3-5:30. Would highly recommend this place.

To quote my dear, overstuffed husband. "Everything is dangerously delicious, but the dessert serving sizes are frankly, irresponsible." What can I say; the man nailed it. The service was top notch. The cocktails? Peppy and fruity and light. The crab? Fresh. The macaroni and cheese? Gooey and comforting. The burgers? Top score. The dessert? Decadently irresponsible. A special mention to Mandy, who was a stellar server, and I'm sure would have been just as accommodating even if we WEREN'T from the same neck of the woods. What are the odds?! Do yourself a favour; in this small world, should you want some good, quality seafood and steak, go to Nellie's. It's not cheap, but if your wallet can take it, don't miss out.

First time in Victoria for some time! Parked our car and started walking. Googled seafood, and found Nautical Nellie's! It was very cold out that day, and we were looking for some warm coffee and some seafood. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing! We had the lobster dip, the lobster mac and cheese, and the seafood chowder. All of it was delicious! We'll go back next time we're in Victoria for sure!

The food was delicious and staff was friendly. She came back about 5 times to refill my water. The food was really good and surprisingly cheaper than expected. All of these food only came to about $150. It was more than enough food for two people. One thing they can probably improve is not putting the same type of seafood in all of their dishes. Even if it's fish, maybe putting in different types of fish is an option. Both of the hot pot and the pasta has the same seafood making it kind of bland overall. But everything else was good and enjoyable!

Got reservation at 8pm, but the service was fast and wonderful. Food is absolutely delicious, tried the hot pot of seafood and creme brulee. Highly recommend the restaurant overall. Will come back here again next time I visit Victoria.

Seated patio for dinner. Waitress was tentative and helpful. Mussels had sand and she exchanged to claim and much better. Seafood hotpot is excellent and unique. Dry aged ribeye is very flavorful. Sautéed mushrooms has mixed of varieties. Watch out sunset. Sun can be in your face.

I'm really kicking myself because I've lived here my entire life but had never been to Nautical Nellie's until tonight and WOW! Fantastic service, wicked drinks, and AMAZING food. Probably the best steak I've ever had and the seafood was just perfect too. Do yourself a favour and go now.
