Good price, not far away from downtown (maybe 20-30 minute drive), but Wifi doesn't work (management told us after the third time asking that we could sit inside the lobby for it to work, it didn't even work on our cell phones). Wifi is a big factor for me so that was an issue - but if you're looking for a one night, cheap stay in Montreal with a decent location (although a bit near oil refineries, not a beauty) and friendly management, than Motel Le Paysan gets the job done.

This motel is cheap, but unfortunately, the cheap price still does not make up for its terrible conditions.
It is kind of clean, but the bed covers are scratchy, and feel dirty. The microwave, phone, & T.V. All look like they came from the 80's.
Their power outlet is quite a journey to find. The Blinds are cheap and broken. Their are two door knobs one for show, which does not work, and another that works but very hard to open door with. Wifi is terrible, barely works.
If you're thinking of showering, well forget about it because this place has not heard of hot water. Showers are ice cold. Also if you are tall you may need to crouch or even sit down as the shower is extremely small.
They also charge 20$ if the key is not returned, so make sure you remember because they are eager for some extra dollars.
Definitely do not recommend unless you are desperate

Cozy place for weekend getaway. Cheap and perfect for tourists who just use the place to wash and sleep.

Pretty cheap for the night. Comfy bed and clean room. Nice big mirror and vintage bathroom.

Rooms are nice. Some are different. But it's a nice place.
