Motel Pignons Rouges

Very wonderful stay..... This motel is pretty affordable, accommodating, and comfortable! The staff there are amazing and makes sure your stay is a pleasant one. You get your deposit back in cash which is rare compared to other places who wait until 1 business day or more to return it to you! Parking is on site and is free! 2 sources of WI-FI! We stayed in room 110. We are avid gamers and get everyrhing through the Internet. The Internet was (in room 110) not adequate for gaming. Actually, I had to reload the Google search to query the motel to write this review. We use a charging system for our devices. Sometimes we run an extension cord under the bed. Under the bed was NOT cleaned. I like that there was no carpets. The A/C was making a high pitched squeak adding an odd smell to the room. The stand up shower was SMALL. There was a lot of door slamming which was easily heard from within the room. The room was not the worst we have rented but close.

Really cool motel off the beaten path to Montreal. If you had a long tiring day touring Montreal, this is the motel you want to come to. Around 15 miles from downtown, this motel gives you a very peaceful ambiance, large rooms with large queen beds (instead of double beds) yet very safe. We got a glimpse of a deer who wandered into the property. Two miles from the hotel is a very large grocery store with prepared foods called Metro and several restaurants too. Rooms were very clean. Beds, bedsheets, pillows, towels were also squeaky clean too. Owners appear to be this cute couple in their 50's. Nice people too. Very fair room rate too. We paid 100 Canadian for a night, including 15% taxes.

Stayed here for a night in 2012. It was a cheap motel but then again I was looking for a cheap place. Could have been better, but then that would only increase the price. The acid test is whether I would come back to stay here and ... yes I would at this price. Maybe not if it's $10:00 dearer I dunno. BUT CAUTION!!!!! THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS !!!! I had a good look at them. Many of them are the same, word for word, copied and pasted by different people (and in some cases the same people) My impression is that a competitor or two is running a smear campaign against this motel. There are faults in this place, but nothing like as bad as it's painted and remember - it's not the Hilton and it's not charging a Hilton price.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff took care of us and our needs. It's a new management and they are really concern with the quality of room and service that they offer. They are doing a great job at revamping the place.
