Miedema's Auto Sales

I thought that Allan the saleman would have treated a old neighbour and what I thought was a friend better but I found out that a used car salesmen is all about selling that next car or truck. My friend and I stopped at Allan’s dealership because there was a custom bike out front of his office. Well turns out its Allan Walker! He and his wife lived across the street from us for years. So my husband and I were in the market for a vechile for me and we thought we would go see Allan, well that was the biggest mistake of our life! He curb sided us. This is a no no when your registered with OMVIC. If your a used car sales person then you are registered with OMVIC. So curb sidin is when Allan offered up a deal for the truck, he said I will sell it to you for $1500 cash as is. He also said he didn’t want to put it through his business boom he is now guilty of curb siding. He must put the sale through his business, I was schooled on curb siding by a friend of mine that also sells used vehicles. Then came the fun part working with the mechanic in the back. His name is Alan, he told me the Explorer need a bunch of work in order for it to be certified. I said okay so we worked out a deal and left to go home thinking I would have my new truck home ina few days. Well those few days turned into a few weeks, I was beginning to think to my self I would never get it. He held on to the truck for 28 days while he was fixing the brakes, ball joints, muffler, E brake and the streeing knuckle , also a few other things that where not mentioned while making the deal with Alan the mechanic. My stomach was telling me something isn’t right here, so a friend of mine and I drove over to the dealership but we parked in the Mitel parking lot and called Alan the mechanic. He didn’t answer my call, so we went and got a coffee and went back and tried calling again? Still no answer! We then called using my friends phone and wow he answered! So I asked how the truck was coming along? He lied to me and said my truck was up on the lift, it was not on the lift! It was still parked in the same spot as it was when I parked it after I took it for a test drive. He called me back a couple of days later and he said it was all done and he would even include the E-test! I thought great I don’t need to put the money out for it. Turns out the test is free 😳 thanks Alan!! So the time come that my truck is finally done!! I pick it up and get just outside of Orangeville and it breaks down. I call him to come get it and call me when its fixed. Well it was the gas gauge that doesn’t work. I go back pick the truck up and start my journey home. I get out to the 80 sign and start getting up to speed and it feels like the truck is going to explode so I pull over and call for a tow truck yes you read right a tow truck. I get the truck home and we go over the truck with another licensed mechanic and he starts telling us what it needs for a certificate and we told him it was already done. So here is Alan taking $1600 of my money and only replacing the brakes and muffler, not to mention the bad tires that should not have past safety. So once again I call him? You know what this mechanic told me? He FORGOT what my truck needed for the safety?? Say what??? You have been doing this how long? So I have the truck towed back to him and we follow the tow truck and he pulls off into the shop we go get a coffee. We get back to the shop and he (Alan) says It needs tires because the tow truck dragged the back wheels all the way from Everett to Orangeville! Yeah um we followed the tow truck in and both back wheels were on the dollys. The tires had gone out of round and even had a flat spot on the bottom from sitting for so long. Not a honest bone in the mechanic and the salesman up front. So please if you intend to buy a vehicle off these people please take it to your mechanic first before buying it. I would hate to think that they let another human drive out of thete business thinking they have a safe car when in fact your driving a death trap and they knowingly let you leave with it.
