They did an excellent job of repairing the front end of my car. Although there was some delay in getting the parts and, at one point, a little confusion about which car was mine, they were always courteous and upfront about the current status of the repairs. This was the second time that I've used Carstar Orangeville and should I need this kind of service again, I will definitely be calling them.

Dropped my vehicle off to have the front lip repainted. Overall was very pleased with the pricing I was quoted and the fact Franc could squeeze me in and promised to finish the vehicle by the time I needed it for. Upon dropping off the vehicle I took photos of the vehicle all around as I have had bad experiences in the past. Once it came to picking up the vehicle I met Franc and was handed over the keys. I went to go look at the quality of the front lip and was very pleased with how it came out. I live literally right down the street from this location no exaggeration and upon parking the vehicle on the driveway and looking over the vehicle not just the lip I noticed my front grille had now been missing paint on it. I double checked the photos I took and noticed that the damage had not been there prior. So I reached out to speak to someone who mentioned Franc was busy and would call me back before the day was over. Well I decided to email Franc as well and point out the damage to him by comparing the two photos before and after. I did not end up receiving a call back as promised nor a response to my email sent to him. I picked this place over other shops primarily due to the positive feedback of other reviews. I understand the difficulty of these kind of situations but the lack of not caring to call me back with a solution shows a lack of customer service. Update - After not hearing back from anyone in regards to my email sent and voicemail left. I decided to call in again and finally this time got a hold of Franc. He had mentioned he would take care of the situation and look into a solution and to give him a day to work it out.. I was happy to see he was willing to help. After 2-3 days of no phone call back I decided to not rely on just getting a call back as the receptionist mentioned Franc was out but to visit instead this time. As I walked in Franc was in the office and so I spoke to him about the lack of follow up and receiving no call back. His response was I will not help someone who leaves a s***** review on my site to hurt my business. I am a frustrated customer I am allowed to express my frustration on the service received. I dropped my vehicle off to have one issue repaired not have another issue develop. A company who values feedback and it's reviews should look to resolve the customers experience and turn it around not deny the service????. He then went on to say that the damage could have been there prior to me dropping my vehicle off and that the photos could have been taken at any time. Really!?? That sounds like such a typical response from a company looking to get out of wanting to complete a come back job. However initially when we spoke mentioned that yes just maybe his detailer could have damaged my grill further more then what was there before and was receptive to repairing it for me. I am beyond upset at the lack of professionalism of not following up and looking to resolve a solution in which he said he would and on top of that coming up with excuses as to the damage being there prior to the vehicle being dropped off but initially agreeing quite possibly something could have been done. A review should not change ones decision to fix a vehicle and turn the experience around for a customer. I hope for those who value feedback before choosing a service read this review before calling. I might have been an irate customer but only due to the level of service I received.Service: Painting

The worst experience I've ever had with a body shop. Our car was hit in the front. They quoted the job at $1760 for a car that was only worth $2500 on a good day. They called me to pick it up. I picked it up. The headlights had metal shavings embedded in them from the shop grinding something metal towards them, the hood latch was loose, the new rad support they had replaced was broken, the horn didn't work, headlights didn't work, the ball joint was ready to fall off. They deemed this car safe for my daughter to drive......WOW. I sent it back. They fixed mostly everything but refused to fix the Air bag light, lower ball joint, broken air dam, all related to the accident. We ended up getting billed for the second rental because Car Star failed to tell our insurance company about the second rental when they said they would take care of it. The final amount to fix the car was $2600.00. They didn't fix the car entirely and they used all aftermarket parts when they were supposed to replace everything with OEM parts. The car is not the same and is extremely noisy in the front every time you hit a bump. Needless to say, the car is up for sale now. We ended up contacting our insurance company and were reimbursed for the second rental that they knew nothing about. They were not happy at all. Thanks Car Star for the absolute worst job I've ever seen.
This shop is one of the worse ever, even my insurance appraiser and adjuster voiced there concerns that this shop is very incompetent. It took 6 months to repair my car after being in a non at fault accident. Although some parts where back order Franc FAILED to communicate affectively to inform of any delays and updates. Franc also was very dishonest in details regarding my car, it was not properly repaired, I had to bring my car back in to be fixed properly at least 3x. My driver side door was replaced and I got the vehicle back unable to wind up the window properly. My seat was jammed and unable to adjust, there’s loud noise coming from my car that wasn’t there before, there where parts that was damaged due to the accident that was not repaired. I personally believe this was a nightmare of experience. Words aren’t adequate to express the seriousness of concerns that can easily be a hefty liability due to safety concerns. I strongly believe a quality service of any kind goes a very long way.
I am so happy with the service I have received at CarStar, I was rear ended and they did an incredible job repairing it. A few weeks after the repair there was a minor malfunction with the trunk latch and Nicole scheduled me in immediately. I came in and Frank had it taken to the back and all fixed up and ready to go in under 15 mins! If you’re looking for a quality repair by kind and professional people, Carstar should be your choice!Services: Body & Trim
