I've never had an issue with microplay, the staff is always super sweet and helpful. They made my 2yr old daughter feel Special and let her carry out her own purchase. Prices are compatible to other gaming places and they always keep you up to date.
Great environment with fair prices and friendly service. I've been shopping here for over 10 years and have enjoyed every visit. They almost always have what I am looking for and offer a wide selection of new and used games and equipment from old to brand new. You get pretty fair trade-in credit too with the option for cash. You can't go wrong with Microplay.
Great store for new and used games. Went in looking for a specific used game and found the staff member very helpful, the prices and selection were great and overall I was very happy with my visit.
Employees there were chill and made sure there wasn't any over capacity since it's a small video game store. Lots of selection of games, and even some rare gems if you look hard enough, willing to help out and overall atmosphere was nice. It's my go to place when I want to pick up preorder or good game deals. Highly recommend!
Sure you can get just about anything from Amazon, Bestbuy, or Walmart. But for the same or less you can get things from this awesome little store. There is so much cool stuff in this tiny store. If you're looking for a gift for a gamer I'd argue it's the best place in the region. They even have good prices on used items. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable while never being high pressure and trying to upsell you on everything like other stores. Times are tough for local businesses, and Jeff Bezos doesn't need to buy any more rockets. Places like Microplay Kitchener are worth the drive and your money.
Staff are always helpful and fun to talk to! They always ask if you need help finding or grabbing a items for you. Got my Pokémon Legends Arceus from here and some new Zelda Joycons when they were out of Stock elsewhere. Can’t wait until they re-stock more Shiny Pokémon plushies! They always restock new and fun things all the time so it’s fun to go back often
Good layout and selection and they provide and insist you use sanitizer at the door which is appreciated. Staff are super friendly, I was buying the last copy of a game and was getting the display copy, which isn't too big of a deal since they shrink wrap the display copy anyway to keep it clean/pristine. The staff member at running the till was also buying the same game and had a factory sealed copy behind the desk for himself. Without me asking or anything he offered me his factory sealed copy and took the "display" copy for himself which I thought was a small but super nice gesture!
I've shopped here a few times in the past, but this weekend the customer service at the Kitchener location blew me away. I've been trying to support local business and these guys are amazing!! I will try and buy as much video game stuff from Microplay from now on. I went in on Sunday with a vague idea of what I wanted. The associates were very helpful and knowledgable. I ended up getting a much better item than I expected and at a lower cost!! And they threw in some free goodies. My daughter was ecstatic when she saw all cool Pokemon stuff I got her. Thanks. See you again soon!
Selection was good and the prices were fair with general pricecharting.com prices; not high Ebay prices. Found a few games that I don't see everywhere. The staff was friendly and greet you as you walk in the store.
