I bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer Sport from Metro Ford. Since I bought it, it has had nothing but problems. Call backs, stuff breaking, chipping paint etc. Have had to wait months for parts to get here to fix the issues. Then the steering wheel cover started peeling off. I have had all German cars and the steering wheel never peeled off after 10 year. So I take it in to Metro Ford and they take pics and send it to Ford. Then they tell me that Ford won't accept to repair or replace the steering wheel. Note that I will never even buy another Ford again. Then I ask to talk to the owner or the manager, takes him weeks to call me, then I explain the situation and he says that there is nothing the dealership can do. Instead of standing behind their product and have the owner call Ford and escalate this with them, he pretty much hung up the phone on me. I have never dealt with many car dealer, Metro Ford doesn't stand behind what they sell, and won't fight on their customer's behalf. If I was the the manager or the owner, I would have taken the time and care to listen and go make a case at Ford. In this day and age where the only thing stands out in businesses is their customer support, this had been a terrible experience for me and I will go out of my way to let people know how Metro Ford deals with their customers. On an everyday basis, its easy to smile and fix an easy problem. But when things get hard, that when you will get to know the real people, and companies. And Metro Ford failed and never attempted to fix their problem. I even asked to talk to the owner and the manager said I couldn't. Nice business. I have read all the Sorrys, yet nothing get done. Instead of being sorry, do something to change the way you treat people and your customers. I got ripped of on the sale of the vehicle, now they refuse to fix their own product. Go ahead and tell me to call customer service, nothing will get done. You don't stand behind your products. If I was the owner I would fix the problem and then go get the cost from Ford. I will make it a mission to let Ford Canada know how their dealer treats their customers, and ruins their reputation and let everyone know Metro Ford doesn't stand behind their products they sell.

Our entire family has purchased vehicles from Tom Mendel for years. His customer service far exceeds the bar, his knowledge of automobiles is amazing, and he is personable. My expertise is in online reviews and online reputation management training, Tom Mendel's is in finding the perfect vehicle for what met my needs. Feb 2018 Update to my posting Sorry I'm a little behind I finally got all the paper work on the Ford Edge And I am happy with the vehicle I am am not so happy with the sales dept. Peter Herbert said he would let me know when. the proper manuals for my car where in . He did not ! I had to call to find out they where there and had been there for awhile. When I picked them up I spoke with my sales person and asked him about the discrepancies in the safety report that they had done on the Ford Edge. His answer was I guess the person doing it has bad eyesight. Really how encouraging! Now that he has said the service dept is not dependable. The report said the battery was good I had to get towed in after a few days and the battery was defective and was replaced. The report said the tires where a 9 out of 10 I spent $1500 on tires as the ones on the car where almost done. So I guess the whole dealership has bad eyesight . Nothing was offered as a proper explanation or in anyway compensation. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO METRO FORD. There are plenty of other ford dealerships and all my service work and future business will go elsewhere. Peter Herbert is the sales manager and I Had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with him. Peter listened to what I had to say and assured me that they would do what ever was needed to make things right. Very professional and trust worthy. Again Tina in service as usual was fantastic. Met Henry in the body shop Seems like a great guy. So upon the experience today I am recommending this dealership. I gave them 4 stars. Bought a 2014 Ford Edge limited Dec 10 2017. Dave was our sales person . But first I must say the young lady at the front desk has a great and bubbly personality and someone you could spend hours talking to. Now back to the dealership. When buying a used vehicle from Metro Ford be sure to ask to review the safety maintenance work sheet . We had and issue on Dec 12 2017 the car would not start. waited 2 1/2 hrs for a tow and Tina in service took very good car of arranging for the tow and a courtesy car. She is the go to in service as far as I am concerned. Paul the service manager was very good and apologetic and asked that I would give them a chance to make it right .As it turned out the battery was faulty. It was taken care of in an expedient manor and he had the vehicle delivered to my home and they took the courtesy car back.A big thanks to Paul and Tina for their professionalism. I got the feeling that Dave felt his job was done once I signed the paperwork and purchased the vehicle. Also on the day I bought the vehicle once I got it home all the tire pressures where extremely low and unsafe this is why I questioned whether the safety inspection had been done. As this is my first time dealing with Metro Ford I am keeping an open mind and will post anything that my change my option and over all experience with Metro Ford.

I had first class service there for my Ford Escape, but have not yet bought a car there, staff friendly, nice lounge for waiting in.

My first experience was disappointing. That being said Dave the service manager was fast to resolve my issues. And ensure that this was not my final experience. Thank you for being so responsive.
