I feel completely misled and taken advantage of during one of the most stressful times in my life.nnMy daughter was admitted to this hospital and we were placed in a semi-private room without our request or consent. Over 36 hours later, a staff member handed me a form, presenting it as an insurance claim. While my daughter was in surgery and I was caring for another child, I signed it, believing it had nothing to do with choosing or requesting a room.nnI even indicated on the form that I preferred a ward room if a semi-private one wasn’t available, clearly showing I was trying to avoid additional charges.nnLater, I received a bill. The finance department admitted it is their responsibility to explain the process—but this was never done. Instead, I was left with a charge I never knowingly agreed to.nnThis experience has seriously damaged my trust in the hospital’s administrative practices. Patients and families deserve clarity, honesty, and compassion—not to be misled during moments of vulnerability.

They do a really good job looking after your health needs. One of the best hospital organizations ever honestly

I’ve had three children at this hospital. Pandemic, post pandemic, and recent. The staff has always been amazing. Dr. Eran, Dr. Kathy, RNs Laura and Emily the neo natal team. All are rock stars and took immense care of my wife and children.

Honestly I was excited when I first got transferred to this hospital for my prenatal care but the moment I had my first visit I was very disappointed as originally my OB had contacted another OB from this hospital he was on speaker phone with her he explained my situation she was in a agreement to take over my care 100% only for me to find out on my first appointment she was not my OB. I asked for a female OB for a reason I now have a male OB huge disappointment strike 1. Secondly this is my pregnancy not the hospitals this is suppose to be a wonderful experience and so far it has not. I’m soo turned off it literally has me thinking about about discontinuing my care muchless delivering my baby here. So many red flags. Ultrasound screenings are the worst no communication, you don’t get to see YOUR BABY It’s bleaking ridiculous. The care and attention I was receiving and had received in the past with my other pregnancies with my original OB from another hospital is an 8/10 compared to McMaster. I’m literally not happy and very uncomfortable and I know for a fact giving birth here will be a big mistake as my birth plan for all my children in the past will not be respected here I literally have to wait until I’m 30 weeks to discuss my birth plan. I never had to do that with my other children. I now have to consider a plan A B and C because this by far has been an unpleasant experience.
