As with most hospitals the doctors and nurses will always be subjective. Unless quality is reported 24/7 nothing much will change at this facility.
I have been here in the E.R on a few occasions and the wait times are absurd, but wait times in the morning seem to be less. Sometimes you will see nurses and doctors laughing around not doing their jobs. It's easy to see why many patients get upset with the quality care at the E.R!!
Aside from this section of the hospital...
I have also given birth here before and it wasn't the best of my aftermath birthing experiences mainly because of other patients. The doctor I had was amazing! After birth and going into the ward there was a patients husband who kept falling asleep and snoring at the top of his lungs. I asked one of the nurses to please do something about it and apparently according to their rules the hospital can do nothing about this nuisance. The environment is unsuitable to new mothers especially and the experience can be a huge downer for everyone. A simple quiet rule should be in effect at all times!!! Otherwise getting my epidural and going through with the birth was a huge success and everyone involved was professional.
From my overall experience with this hospital I have to give it a 3. I have dealt with two bad doctors and about three bad nurses. The good outweighs the bad so that is why they get 3 stars from me!

Too many nurses doing nothing but talk and not enough doctors for patients. I Waited 4 hours in the waiting room with my mother after being brought in by ambulance for severe abdominal pain. Hire more qualified staff please.

Hello.
I am not grammar good with my english but I will try to write it as much correctly as I can. My wife had delivery in this hospital and we have beautiful son. As a daddy here I want to warn all dads about keeep your eye on your child as much as you can. I will write some issues what I had here with some nurses here and that nurses should be either more educated or fired permanently.
1. My son was born in midnight and delivery took some students from Mac. On the one of the Canadian website I found: "When your baby is born, her first cry will kick-start her/his lungs. The obstetrician will suction her/his mouth and nose to clear away any mucus or amniotic fluid and make sure both nostrils are fully open." They didnt do that and later they explained me about not every one infant need to have clean nostrills but thats so stupid because they decide when infant need to have it cleaned or not. But all infants go out either by c section or vaginal and always need to be cleaned. Our son wasnt cleaned and for two days after he had breathing problems, faster breathing action and clogged nose. He couldnt get breastfeeding and bottle feeding was a nightmare too.
Dads - if you want to avoid that issues - force the hospital to clean infants from mucus after delivery. No matter what kind of drlivery, c-section or vaginal. Seriously!
2. Some nurses are FORCE FEED infants and tell parents about give them 50ml of milk per one time feeding. Nurse in front of me took my son (30min after his feed time) while he sleep and started to feed him force. He did eat only 3ml.
3. Some nurses dont react when they are beside infants and infants cry. In example when they wage them, infants may cry as long as the nurses will finish their task.
4. When my son was in the incubator cause bilirubin, he started to cry because hungry, so I called the nurse because they told me to call them before put my son out to check the temprrature and she said I can wait few minutes because they have change shift. So I did check the temperature, and then I took him out and change wet diaper and started feeding him. Nurse came 30 min later. No comment then.
5. During the time when one nurse was bottle-feeding my son I asked nice what means the manufactured marks on teats about how much deep you can put it inside of infant mouth and I decided, to use smaller teat then she brought with the bottle, she said: "You know what, why can't you hold the baby and feed him, its your son".
Like I said from my experience here: Dads, have your eyes open-wide because you may be surprised, disappointed. Study the canadian websites about how to care about infants from the beginning because you can save sometimes a lot of stress and tears of your lovely kids.
I am more than happy to contact with anyone who have any questions.

I am a patient of anxiety and depression. I was taken to the hospital in emergency two days ago.. They were good first before they shifted me to mental health care. Many of the students came from mac to question me stuff. They gave me a medication to help me sleep but i had overdozed. The nurse comes in wakes me up and tells me to vacant the bed for other patients and asks me to leave. I was not even in the condition of walking. They did not help me with proper treatment or transportation. I asked the nurse to call a cab for me. Instead she said she can not call a cab. After telling her I did not have my bus pass, she handed me over a bus ticket and i had to take a bus for home. I still have the side effects of the medication that needs to be taken care of. They did not give me any follow up appointment nor any medication. Worst experience ever . The staff was rude.
