Life changing experience. This sandwich is amazing. I got the 9” spicy beef sandwich “dipped”. For $12.50 they are practically giving these things away. Great bang for your buck. It was the perfect level of spicy, it had some legit heat but it wasn’t over done. Bread is the perfect combination of thick and strong enough not to fall apart after you dip the sandwich, and light and fluffy enough so it doesn’t fill you up on bread. This is the first time I’ve ever enjoyed the flavour of olives, there is a couple on top mixed in with vegetables and peppers. It was a sandwich like nothing I’ve ever had before, apparently it’s a Chicago classic‍. It’s rare that I am this moved by a sandwich, but this one is special! Go treat yourself! The owners run the stand and are super friendly and down to earth. 10/10
The Italian beef will leave you extremely satisfied and full but also contemplating if you should purchase another one to take home and have later. My usual go to order is the 9" Italian Beef with Hot Giardiniera dipped for extra juiciness and the very tasty side of Rooftop Fries to go along with it. This time, I ordered the Beef and Sausage Duo and it was also extremely delicious with the addition of the sausage. You cannot find better Italian beef anywhere else. The value is definitely there as the price is more than reasonable for the quality and quantity that you get. I look forward to my next visit to Marq's Beef and would highly recommend this for everyone!
I’ve heard so much about this place through social media TikTok especially and it looked too good not to try! Made the trip from the east-end all the way downtown and it did not disappoint! I got the 6” Italian beef dipped with the rooftop fries and garpar fries and it was absolutely delicious. It was so good I actually ordered another sandwich and got it dunked the second time around. For those who haven’t tried it yet, dunked it the way to go. It really soaks up all the flavour and juiciness and enhances the overall taste of the sandwich. The fries were also really good! Fresh, tasty, and the garlic really stood out. I look forward to trying their other sandwiches. Thank you for living up to the hype and my expectations, I will be back!
I don’t usually review stuff but this sandwich was amazing. I got the classic Italian dunked with hot peppers. The beef was juicy and the giardiniera was hot but not too hot. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back.
Cruising by and decided to stop by as I have heard good things. Ordered the Italian Beef 8" with the hot peppers. Didn't get it dunked but there was enough jus from the beef. The 8" was a decent portion and I was hungry! So filled me up nice. Good spicy level from the peppers. Tried the fries too with garlic parm. It was ok -- not enough garlic parm seasoning, but the fries were hot and crunchy. Would come again to try their other offerings!
Food was really good. For street style, the beef quality was up there, loved that they were dipped as well. The rooftop fried were epic. Highly recommend a try out at this food shack.Recommended dishes
A Chicago Beef sandwich from Toronto, prepared in a converted shipping container no less, blows a Portillo”s sandwich from Chicago out of the water! I went on a cold Saturday afternoon, off hours, not expecting much. I ordered a 9 inch Chicago Beef sandwich with the giardiniera topping. The sandwich was excellent! The generous portion size and quality was remarkable. The biggest difference between the Italian Beef sandwich I had in Chicago and this one from Marq’s, was this sandwich tasted like it was prepared and not manufactured. 10/10 in all areas! Service, Taste, Quality, Value.
Honestly this is the absolute best sandwich in Toronto. Been coming here regularly for the last year and a half and it’s awesome. The combination of the thinly cut beef and hot giardiniera is just amazing. The crinkle cut fries are also great. Couldn’t recommend more, just try it!
Only place doing authentic Chicago style beef sandwiches in the city! I eat here often and most recently tried their Beef n Sausage duo. This is unlike any sandwich I’ve ever had and it is literally next level! Definitely a must try and be sure to pair your sando with their famous rooftop fries. Oh, and don’t forget the bev! **This is not a Philly cheesesteak!
Very tasty! We got the the Italian Beef sandwiches and fries and it was so good! I am definitely coming back when I am in town and will definitely try the roof top fries. If the owner sees this, can you please let me know what kind of salt you use lol thx
