Exceptional upscale brunch spot. We got the blueberry pork sausage Benedict and the chicken and waffles. The Benedict was rather small but made with very high quality ingredients and very tasty. The hash mixed with the sausage and its hint of blueberry and a lightly poached egg made for a delectable experience every bite. The chicken wasn’t greasy and the maple butter and jalapeño smoked honey were shockingly flavourful and very gourmet compared to the standard fare. Exceptional service and attention to detail makes this place stand out among its peers. The atmosphere is all exceptional; we ate in the great backyard patio and it felt like we were in Montreal where pretty much all food/service is better than Toronto! You won’t regret coming here.
Update: came in again and this time remembered to take a photo - albeit after demolishing half my meal Japanese beef sandwich - very good. Salad tastes like…spring. Really good Came in randomly for a bite. Was surprised to see that pretty much everything was made in house - from the blueberry sausage patty, right down to the dang ketchup!!! Tasty. Ordered the fried chicken after my meal. So good - crispy, light, perfectly flavoured smoked honey that wasn’t overbearing. So good. Will return and update this review, but for now 5-stars in my book. Also, they sell a very, very nice French tea Damman at a *very* reasonable price.
We really enjoyed this eatery today! We had a large group and were accommodated by a heated patio! They played music from a lantern very posh. The menu was sophisticated and enjoyable. Now to the food…. The chicken and waffle was ok. The chicken was juicy and the waffle a bit dry. The pancakes on the other hand were moist and delicious. The steak omelette could have used a bit more steak but I was great too! Disclaimer I have a different palate I’m From Va :
Just found this place on Queen st. I had the chicken and waffle. It was really yummy! The chicken is crispy and tender at the same time. The maple butter is really good with waffle. Other dishes are also good. Seafood pasta and soba Noodle are also delicious. Staffs are kind and the place is cozy. I highly recommend here Food: 5/5
Not only are the dishes homemade and taste super delicious , they are also created with attention to detail. We very much enjoyed the flavor of the Queen Salad, the Crabe Cake as well as the Crab Cake Sandwiches. I can really recommend The Mission Eatery. It was definitely worth the drive up from Brampton.
The food here is special to say the least and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I walked in for lunch after work and ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Perfect portion, very fresh and full of flavour. I will return to try other menu items. Do not miss this place, it’s awesome.
Took my wife here for a late brunch. She had a Cobb Salad with crab cake and even after an hour after eating she couldn't stop talking about the crab cake. I had the eggs benedict with blueberry pork sausage patties. Didn't know what to expect with that one but it was fantastic! Both dishes came with home made soda bread. You heard it right. Home. Made. Soda. Bread. And yes, it was absolutely amazing. Our meal was finished off with an espresso creme brulee which was very gourmet. The owner came to our table to check on us and it was great hearing her enthusiasm and passion for food. She went on about how she got the best butter and eggs and seafood. Her love of food really came through in her food. I never review things on google. But this is a way we can help small businesses and this place only opened for a few weeks. I'm not going to lie, if you are looking for a place to spend $10/person for food, sadly this place isn't for you. With that being said, my wife and I were very satisfied with our food and would absolutely recommend this place to friend and family.
The service was absolutely incredible. Everyone was attentive and genuinely kind. Our server took the time to explain the menu, the food came out very fast, and our coffees were always full. The food was delicious. It came with a little bit of everything. Everything was fresh, homemade, and unique.Food: 5/5
The nicest humans! My order took a little longer to make, so they kindly offered me to try their cheeseburger spring rolls for free while I waited. It was so delicious, and I loved the in-house sauce you can dip the spring rolls in! It was tangy and a little spicy, which was perfect for a hearty hamburger roll. The fried chicken sando was A+. Didn’t fall apart, and was SO JUICY. I really enjoyed the layer of coleslaw tucked inside the bread. It was a nice fresh bite that paired well with the crispy chicken! The mission iced tea tho. It was perfect for such a hot day. Really recommend getting for sweetened with syrup, it just hit the right spot after such a filling meal. I can’t even describe how got the drink was, I just loved how floral and refreshing it was with strong notes of rose hip, jasmine, and orange!
This place is a hidden gem in the queen west area. The food, drinks, and the ambiance were all excellent. Hands down the best brunch I had in Toronto! PS: Try their chicken waffle and ask for their homemade hot sauce, it's seriously addictive.
