Simple Burger

Some of the best smash burgers in the city. No frills needed here - quality ingredients, executed with care, and very reasonably priced. Patties were smashed perfectly, not overly crispy/overcooked - Juicy with the right out of crispy edges. Their special sauce is delicious and balanced the flavors of the burger nicely. Fresh cut in house fries, quebecois style, also delicious. Ordered on Uber eats and staff was very accommodating to special requests. Definitely a new contender for best burgers in Toronto!

An absolutely solid burger. Definitely made to order, with great care. Service was friendly and excellent. My only notes would be about seasoning and flavour; the patties needed more salt, and the thousand islands 'secret sauce' needs a but more punch. Maybe a bit more mustard and some apple cider vinegar? Fries were PHENOMENAL. Give it a go, I'll definitely return for another spin.

Was out for a walk and happened to see this place. I got the Home Burger combo that comes with a drink and fries. The burger and fries were amazing. Best I've had in a while. The service was excellent too, very friendly and welcoming. There's seating inside or you could walk across to Christie Pits park and sit at a picnic table. I'll definitely be going back!

Went to this spot because I love burgers and this place looked good. I went with my wife to check the place out and we were met by a employee that took our order. The guy was nice and friendly, I got the house burger that came with cheese and bacon grilled onions and mushrooms and I got the home cut fries. My wife got the same burger with a poutine. The burger had a lot of sauce and the burger was really smashed. The burgers were good and so were the fries. I would have preferred them a bit more cooked but they were still good. The poutine I was told is good but again it would have been better if the fries were cooked more. All in all I had a good experience and I would return. Next time I will ask for well done fries though.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Staff were kind and friendly, even when I fumbled to find my student ID luckily there was no one in line behind me. I got the student special, a single burger with fries and a can of drink, and they happily threw in a couple of tomato slices when I asked. The burger was delicious, and larger than I expected larger than a single Rudy burger, one of their competitors. You do not need a double, trust me. But you'll probably get one anyway, I almost did. The fries were great, if a little salty, and they went well with the little dish of burger sauce they came with. I don't know if their fries are usually soft, but I'm the kind of weirdo who prefers squishy fries over crunchy ones, so if it's their norm I'll definitely be back.

It’s name says it all. Simple burger, simply amazing. Excellent greasy burger to satisfy your craving. Got the house burger, was extremely flavourful and all around good quality ingredients. Poutine was great too, love the house burger sauce as well. 5 stars for simple burger

It's been awhile since I have had a really good burger or at least a burger that really hit the spot. I am a bit of a burger purist, so when I do homemade it is just straight up chuck with that 70/30 split with salt and pepper. I am pretty indifferent when it comes to smash vs non-smashed but this was probably one of the best smash burgers I have had in the city. I haven't tried too many smash spots, but of those popular ones, Simple burger was perfect. It literally is simple, all your normal fixings with that "mac" like sauce. But the construction might be simple but those burger patties are amazing, a nice crust, not too thin or too crunchy, just enough salt or maybe a little salty for me paired with American cheddar or at least I assume it is. Every bite is just so satisfying. I hit up the spot again tonight, my friend enjoyed it too. The portion and price is pretty great value. Fries are not bad, not perfect but tonight at least, good crunch, even saltiness and not mushy. I have had the loaded fries and had some of my friend's poutine. The gravy tastes a little different, doesn't seem like a beef dripping gravy. And the loaded fries is kinda like fries supreme but because it removes the crunch of the fries might not be worth it. Overall, it's a great spot and I will be coming again.

I got their double burger no combo, which came to about 12 dollars after tax. At first I was regretting spending 12 dollars on a smash burger but when I got it I was pretty shocked by the size. The burger was HUGE and when I think of smash burgers I think of small burgers. It tastes pretty good too, the best way I could describe the taste is if you level up the Big Mac from McDonald's. The burger had a similar taste profile but is better than a Big Mac in every way, while also costing about double the price. Will come again one day to try out their fries.

I was walking to Koreatown when I noticed a new burger joint opened up! I’ve been meaning to try it and decided to have it as my first meal for the new year. First, it is more than just a “simple” burger. I mean it is a burger with the typical fixings and such but the taste goes beyond! I was pleasantly surprised! The house burger was juicy and had the right seasoning and sauce. Overall it was delicious! I was a bit intimidated when I first saw it because it was pretty large due to the smashed beef patty to hold. The next thing I was surprised with were the fries. It looks like your regular fries but I was addicted. I love fries and thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. I don’t know what they make the fries in e.g., oil but they had such a yummy taste. One of the best fries I’ve ever had! 100% will be coming again when I crave burgers.

Con: it's on the pricey side considering what you get The burger was pretty tasty and fresh, I say go for the double as the meat is thin. The fries were pretty good too, fresh, and a good portion.
