Nice camp site. Suffering a bit from the roadworks and the pool is not in use, the facilities are clean and maintained. Good value and one of the most enjoyable stays we had accross half a dozen sites around the island

It's hard to evaluate this place and be objective about it. I stopped here after a LONG hike, hoping to get a spot to stake my tent for the night. Coming down from the railway that is behind the place, I saw a community of permanent RVers. A shanty town of sort built into the side of the mountain. It was a bit surreal since I was hiking in the middle of no where, then all of a sudden, I'm walking in what seems to be a refugee camp. However, once I got to bottom, I talked to the manager and got a grassy spot for $40. Clean bathrooms, free showers. I'd say a bit expensive but when you've hiked for 22kms that day, it was welcome.

It's probably seen better days but still a nice place to go camping among the giant cedars, the staff was very cool with us, its very laid back.
