Sunrise was gorgeous, first time there. Fire pits on the ocean sites. Self contained units only but has sani dump. I can see this place getting busy in the summer.
One of the best views directly on the shore. It is possible to make a camp fire, there is even some beach wood you can use. Amenities are minimal and the WiFi was not working. But the view and setting make up for this. It’s about 50 bucks and we would go back next time.
Location, Location, Location. New caretakers that took over from Barry really nice, friendly and returned my call in appropriate time.
Stayed 2 nights - had a beautiful time. Hosts were good to us. Stayed next door and had nice conversations and we have a 20 year old Prowler 19 foot trailer. Nice place to stay! Enjoy
We originally booked 1 night here but upon check in asked to stay 2 nights and this was not a problem. We stayed in an oceanfront site which was beautiful. We had problems with our hot water heater and the owner and other residents were very helpful. We liked it so much we are staying another night. I don't understand the bad Google reviews. If they are talking about the owner being rude he was super nice and helpful to us. He may have been rude to others about rules but you have to be if you want rules strictly enforced. Same goes with the tiny home reviews. It would be strange to have the tiny home in an rv park.. . If I were the owner I would not allow the tiny home either. Probably was multiple stories and would take away from the view. Not many other campsites in greater Victoria allowed firepits and that was a bonus. And I am unsure why people complain about the price. Other campsites and wayyy more for partial hookups.
A very nice location, but with a very rude owner. According to the nice lady his wife of the reception we were allowed to stand anywhere within the pitch where we wanted. Once we were connected the man came without introducing himself roaring that we stood not right and had to change this immediately. Talking about hospitality....
Not impressed at all. They have you packed in like sardines. There are a lot of full timers that have blocked off sections of the "beach" which isn't really much of a beach at all, more like rock and seaweed. Some grump next to us yelled at my kids for playing in "his section of the beach." Was not a comfortable place for camping. Felt more like a trashy trailer park than a campground. We won't stay there again.
The calming sound of the ocean as it laps at your backyard is the perfect respite for a vacation that needs some down time. This isn't your regular RV campground. It is much better. Secluded at the bottom of a hill, right on the water. No fancy facilities, they do have wi-fi just the beauty of the sun, the sea and Mt. Baker standing guard on the horizon. Barry is the perfect host, there with information, help or just a friendly greeting. A perfect place to recharge and enjoy nature and people at their best.
We are here now, after coming all the way from California, assuming we would have great water views. Horrible, they insist that we have to back in our Class A Motorhome into the site, so we have a great view of the outhouses! Their lame excuse is so everyone's door will open the same way! Very lame excuse. We still talk to everyone in the back of the RV, where one spends a lot longer than standing at your door. We have been traveling for over 6 years and have had only encountered this ridiculous rule once! For over $50 you should park whichever way you want to. Don't waste your money!! Captain Susan Ellison
Beautiful on the beach sites with water and electric ... as such only campers/rv's with holding tanks are permitted. No tents or car campers or tiny homes without grey and black water holding tanks.... There is a sani dump in the middle of the park ...... Dogs have to be on leash and campfires extinguished at 11... The rules are fairly enforced making it a pretty nice place for everyone... The park is open April thru Oct ...
