This a nice RV park with a beautiful beach that takes minutes to walk to. Sunrises are absolutely beautiful I have to thank my husband for the pics as he is the early riser…lol. We would have liked our site to have been a little more private, but our pull thru was a good length. We stayed the whole winter and because the park is open to the ocean be prepared for some high winds at times. All in all it is a lovely RV park with a great location, close to Sidney, Brentwood Bay and Victoria!
Good placed campsite when using the ferry. Regular big spots, fully serviced and bathrooms were spotless clean. 1$ for 5min shower, either cash or by purchasing a prepaid card refundable if not used completely. Short walk to the beach but not really anything more than that. Restrooms: Clean, good. Dog-friendliness: Seemed dog friendly with cleaning station at the beach.
Overall a good well maintained place. Has everything the RV need. The beach was a bit of walk but then you get used to it and becomes a nice walk in nature. The beach doesn’t have sand and has a lot of insects. Everything gives you a good experience until you need help. Then you are on your own. The customer service won’t lend a multimeter to you. They will give you phone numbers for services. Do what you need to do because you need to get out of there before your time is up. No one in that place will help you. So pretty much you are on your own.
I had such an enjoyable stay here. This is a very quiet location, with great access to the beach, and also very dog-friendly. Good sized sites, and very well maintained. I hope to get back here soon.
Great location, just off Hwy 17 heading toward Sydney. Close proximity to visit Victoria and site see other areas such as Sooke, Langford etc., this is a good "home base" when visiting the area and very close to access the Galloping Goose for bike riding and walking. Don't be fooled though..... this isn't exactly "oceanside", no sites are right alongside the ocean, a few overlook the "estuary" area but to access the ocean, which is lovely when you get there, you must walk a trail that isn't a problem for anyone without a mobility issue. Services - W/S/E all available and I really appreciated that the sewer connection was located well without being right beside your neighbours picnic table, amazing what a bit of shrubbery can offer. The sites are very nice and roomy, long, a bit narrow but enough room when you have the privacy of shrubs on either side of your site, didn't feel crowded at all. Downfall and reason for 4 star is the gravel in the site needed to be topped up or replaced, it was lacking which caused the site to be quite dirty, tracking dirt into RV from pet and owners was always a concern. Although I didn't have the need for using the washrooms or laundry facility, I did seek them out and they were very clean and well maintained. I didn't have the need for staff interaction but when I checked in, they were very friendly and informed.. As always my reviews of RV parks always include information in regard to handicap access as my husband has MS. Getting around the parks was very easy as the roadway is paved and easy to travel around with a walker or scooter, the beach path isn't accessible. Although washrooms/showers always note that they are handicap accessible, we have found this isn't the case. Showers have a bench located outside the shower itself but nothing for a person to sit on in the "handicap" shower which is a must.
Really nice park. The beach is a bit further walk than I anticipated so bring good shoes and bug spray I got eaten alive actually more of a short hike through trees to get there. The park is extremely clean and very well kept. They have dog friendly areas and supply poop bags, waste removal, laundry, large game room, play areas for the kids and full service hook up sites. The customer service is outstanding!!!! Kinda sad we only have 2 weeks here, but will surly visit again in the future. Sites are a decent size, and park we found is incredibly quiet. Highly recommended.
Super clean and tidy campgrounds. Great staff, very helpful! 10/10 would recommend and am booking a site for next year!.
Lovely place to go! Ocean view, very beautiful
Awesome here on Haro Strait! So much to see and great walking trail. The views are fantastic! Island View Beach is rugged and fun to explore. Dog friendly!
I stayed in Oceanside end Aug '22. I wish I could give 10 stars. The woman at the front counter was so friendly on the phone and in person. The sites are clean and well appointed. The facilities are clean, freshly painted or finished and the showers are beautiful. There is a gorgeous little trail going to the white sandy beach. The water is clean and the sites are very well maintained. The culture on the resort is polite, friendly and private. I really enjoyed my time here. I especially enjoyed the public propane fireplace. It's warm and a nice place to sit and read.
