Mahal Restaurant - Indian Food Hamilton

Good place to order food and great place for catering. Not much space to sit down and eat though. They serve halal food if anyone is wondering.

I had the chicken vindaloo and it was awesome as far as hot curry dishes go. however for what I received it was far below good value. for what I paid I could get a lot more food at various other restaurants on the mountain of the same genre. the sad part is they have an extensive menu and I was looking forward to trying many of them. what would have made a difference would have been a cup of plain rice or something. sadly I will not be back.

Great food but the seating is not that great. And the owner is rude too. When you trying paying with your card he just takes the card from you and taps it on the machine for paywave. I mean what if he charges you incorrectly?!

Used to order from here often. But recently the quality has been lacking. Ordered fish biryani today and counted only 6 pieces of fish. If you love your rice it'll be very filling for 1 person since it's all rice and hardly any fish. Would have given a 4 🌟 if they gave as much as before. None the less, a good eat if you are craving for Indian food. Update: bought the fish biryani again this evening, And it was the bomb! They seem to have read my review before and Increased the portion of fish. 5 stars for sure!
