Everyone is so Friendly for my First trip in less then 24hrs Mind you I'm from Massachusetts I definitely Highly recommend It!
Great campground. The restaurant is a perfect ending to the day.
My golf car was stolen from blackthorn bar. Heard it was here. Drove over and the owners daughter threw us out. We explained to her the situation and she yelled turn the around and leave. Thanks for the help. What a joke of a place. Don't go if you live an honest living, if not I guess enjoy
Great little campground, spent just one night to go to the motorcycle rally at blackthorn, didnt want to be in the full crowd of people. Called 2 days before, and the took us no problem. Great little resturant too, so many menu choices. The owner is a great, she is so sweet. Ask about the chicken eggs.. they are great! Would definitely stay again.
Friendly waitstaff and an interesting pub grub menu that overlooks a rv park and campground.
Great neighborhood pub with that 'Cheers' atmosphere! Good food, good staff, good service, friendly conversation with staff and patrons alike. And there's a campground there to boot! Stop by for a libation and a bite to eat. You won't regret it!
I made reservations for a tent site for Memorial Day weekend here to be in town for Irish Fest. I mailed a check for two nights and was instructed to call when I was close to arriving. We called, as instructed, when still 20 min away. The lady said she was busy getting steaks out but come "up to the barn" when we arrive. We arrived and parked and I followed the "office" sign and arrow into the bar portion of their bar/restaurant. I told the bartender we were there to check in. He threw his hands up "for what?" "For camping." "I know nothing about it. Go talk to the lady in the kitchen." Into the kitchen I went. She said she was too busy to take us to our site but gave rough directions to go to the back of the campground near a trailer and two cars and we could camp there. Every camper is a trailer by the way and nothing looked more trailer-y than another but nonetheless we drove to the back and found two cars and parked nearby and pitched the tent. We returned to the restaurant and ordered two steak specials. We were asked what side we would like and Pasta Salad sounded best to both of us. The pasta salad turned out to be only tri color noodles with scant Italian dressing on it and nothing else. Also, it turned out that the "steak special" was $16.50 just for the steak.... nothing else. The "salads"/actually-just-noodles were an additional $3 each. We ordered ice waters along with the two drinks the bartender promised us on the house after his unwelcoming greeting and were brought the usual bottled water you buy in cases at walmart then were charged $2.50 for each water. Needless to say, this place should come with a warning and I think people should know these things so you can look out for yourself and not learn the hard way. Also, FYI, the showers and bathrooms are way up front of the campground and not at all quickly accessible from any tent site in the back by the highway. Yes, the highway. We could see and easily hear the highway from our tent and when we drove out and around in the morning we waved to our visible tent from the road. Ok, so we were eating our dinner and there are a couple of pool tables in the bar area and one in the restaurant area and my brother and 11 year old daughter got talking about pool and my brother says he will teach her how to play. When the waitress visited our table we ask if we need to pay to play pool. The waitress looks at my daughter and says "Sorry, you're too young. You're not allowed." This was AFTER the lady on the phone assured me they were a family friendly place, when I made my reservation. Also, NO ONE ELSE was using the restaurant side pool table or trying to use it. Rude. Not family friendly. Personally, I will never stay here again and will never spend another dime in their restaurant or bar. Also, by Sunday, when the 3 air fresheners opened up on the bathroom counter had shrivelled, it stunk like sewage. So beware. Only stay here if you are desperate and ask specifically about pricing in the restaurant and bar unless you want to be ripped off.
Great Camp Grounds! Has a Bar/Restaurant on the Grounds ! Friendly Owner and Staff !!!
Wow! Camped here on Memorial Day weekend. Great site on the pond, great food, atmosphere, and good old fashioned camping with friends and family. We will definitely be back for more fun times!
