Perfect Place for Families to camp. Has that Classic old school Catskill Campground Charm!!! Always some kind of event going on !!!

I discovered Whip-O-Will last May. My wife and I have camped all over the North East in tents and a camper. We have stayed in State Campgrounds and KOA's. Whip-O-Will represents the best of both worlds. Scenic beauty in the shadows of the Catskill mountains with just the right amount of services to make your stay comfortable. There is something about this place that makes me want to return again and again. The people , both staff and campers, are friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and I have found the upkeep to be outstanding. Whether you are camping with family or looking for a place to get together with friends, Whip-O-Will has something for everyone.

We camped here twice during 2016 and found everyone very friendly and helpful. There are mostly seasonal campers here, and we found they are all quite welcoming and friendly. The owner met us on our last weekend and he was quite nice to us all. Only two things we had issues with. 1st, the pay showers ... that was a first in our book. Next was the garbage that the seasonal campers tossed out and overloaded the dumpsters with.. Other than those two things, we enjoyed our time at Whip-O-Will and will definitely be back in 2017 !! Wish I could give 5 stars, but I just cant. Maybe they will get rid of the pay showers and get a better handle on the garbage issue for 2017... Then 5 stars will definitely be given !!
