Mark Andersen, born and raised in Coxsackie and a resident in Earlton for over 15 years, takes pride in being the owner here at Earlton Hill Campground. There have been many renovations and upgrades made to the Campground to provide our Campers and guests with what they deserve to feel at home.

We loved our stay! We were confused about what the small cabins looked like but we were pleasantly surprised! They are about 12 ft by 12 ft . They have a little porch ,two windows, two electrical outlets, two pleather futons , window fan and a small refrigerator in them. The site has a fire ring and a newer plastic and metal picnic table. Super cute! People are friendly, swimming area is little small but still a lot of fun! Bathrooms are new and are easy to get around in. We didn't see any critters trying to steal anything! We are definitely coming back for a longer then weekend stay soon!

My family camped there as seasonal's for 5 seasons. The grounds, the sites and most of the campers are are wonderful. The owner and the staff however are extremely unprofessional and have little or no integrity. The owner is a drunk and extremely difficult to deal with. If you have an issue and try to talk calmly with him he is belligerent and yells at you like you're the problem. I have been told to call him before he's intoxicated. The problem is that is a small window most likely before 10 AM. And his extremely immature daughter who acts like she runs the place tells everyone your business. I have had multiple campers complain because she is telling everyone how much money they owe on their site or on their electronic bill. The funny thing is they don't call you or go to the source. You hear it from all the others they gossiped to. Every year 10 to 20 family's leave to find a different, more professional campground. And I have heard the owner say multipe times he doesnt care. He always says I have a waiting list, he does not care about his guests. It's sad because the place is nice, but the management and the staff ruin it. They have a lot of events, but each year less and less seasonal's go. I asked many why and they said they did not want to see or interact with the owner. I went to the owner and wanted to have a calm rational conversation about a concern I had about a month ago. He got confrontational and yelled at me. His daughter stepped in and said I should know better than to talk to her father after he is drinking. Since I'm not there when he wakes up, I'm not sure what my options are. After our conversation I heard from other campers the owner would not be renewing his contract with my family. No one from management or the staff said anything to my wife or I. Just bragged about it to other campers. Those campers came to us and let us know the owners daughter told them we would not be welcomed back. I called and told the owner I have been here for five years and I wanted to stay. He told me he had no obligation to me and he would not be renewing our contract. I asked him why and he kept saying don't play stupid with me. I can't believe everyone knew we were being exiled before we did. We just bought a new camper and had a great double site. I have been told they wanted me out to turn my corner site into two sites for more Revenue. I'm not sure if that's true or not time will tell. But what I know is true is they don't care about me, they don't care about anyone else who Camps there and they certainly don't care about you. So now I'm on to camp at a place that has a better owner and a more professional staff. It certainly won't be hard to find an improvement to this. The grounds are beautiful and the sites are nice and I love a lot of the campers there they are like family to me. But it's become abundantly apparent, unless you're drinking the Kool-Aid and keeping your head down. You could be kicked out and exiled at any moment.

Spacious campground with a store that has most everything you need. A bit pricey per night compared with other tent-camping spots but the amenities are outstanding.
