I was at Lowes yesterday looking for something really simple: Contact paper! The first salesperson I asked pointed me in a direction and I went on my own and looked. They didn't have non-grip and only had one roll of one kind. I thought it must have been a mistake so went in search of someone else to ask. They all seemed busy. I approached the front of the store and a cashier was standing there so asked her for help. She called department after department and got no answer, so stood across from me shrugging her shoulders and waiting for me to say something. I said "Never mind, I'll find it another day" (Which I didn't mean, having driven across town to find this one item) She shrugged again and said "Sorry" and offered no further assistance. Won't be returning.

We have always had a good experience at this location.  We have renovated our house, including putting in a suite, so at one point we were in the store daily.  They have always been very friendly and helpful with locating products, information and returns.  The store is always clean and organized which is why we prefer it over Home Depot.

This is a big, bright, clean store. It seems to be a bit "higher end" than the competitors. They have quite a selection of everything and it is thoughtfully laid out.
There are building supplies but I feel that they are more focused on the homeowner than contractors. It just has that vibe.
I don't know about the customer service because I didn't need any help.

Customer service is terrible and lacking. Employees need to be trained better. I called in telling them they had the wrong product packaged in the box and i would come in 20 mins to pick it up and when i went to the store after 20 mins it took them 40 mins to get the product after asking 3 different employees

Everytime I walk into this store I am so pleased with their service. Every employee will acknowledge me and help me if I need. Opposite of service at Abbotsford Home Depot - those guys literally see you and then hide! 
Don't go to Home Depot. 
Go to Lowes. :)
