While the store is pet-friendly—a nice touch deserving of two stars—its return policy is incredibly frustrating and severely detracts from the overall experience. Despite being a well-kept store, the owner-imposed return rules leave much to be desired. Avoid this store if you can.nnThe policy states that unopened, unused items can be returned within 90 days, but opened or used items only qualify for exchange or store credit within 30 days. This is not in line with standard Canadian Tire policies. When I inquired about this at the returns desk, the staff explained that this Abbotsford location is an independently owned franchise, so the owner sets their own rules, which may differ from those of the core Canadian Tire network.nnIn my case, I purchased a small item that turned out to be defective; the plastic was deteriorating, but it looked fine from outside the packaging. Upon discovering the issue after opening it, I tried to return it for a refund. However, because I had opened the item and was 32 days past the purchase date, the staff informed me that the owner’s policy prevented them from issuing a refund. Even if I had returned it within 30 days, they said, an opened item would not be eligible for a refund, only an exchange or store credit.nnThis policy effectively forces customers to spend money on a replacement—even when the item is defective—unless it remains sealed in its packaging. I feel for other customers who may be similarly mistreated under these conditions.nnAll in all, while I appreciate the pet-friendly policy, the store’s rigid and customer-unfriendly return rules are a serious drawback.

Do we give corporate places 5stars?nThey would have had to do something super to get that.nFair prices, good sales, layout is easy to follow.

Ordered this Noma fan online from Canadian Tire from 3 separate CT stores White Rock, Surrey & Vancouver and wanted another two, but was no longer available 3 days later. Frustrated that Canadian Tire would not assist with getting more considering I had just ordered three of them. Online shopping was convenient, efficient and easy until this disappointing result.

Every time I come here, someone tries to get me to sign up for a credit card. They do the same pitcher every time that I can save x% on my bill that day. Well, I only come to purchase wood pellets, which are $7 for a 50lb bag. I tell the workers this, and they tell me I can save like 60 cents as if that doesn't seem like a complete waste of time.nnPeople don't want to be bothered to sign up for a credit card when they are just trying to grab something and go.

So impressed with the young guy Dan in the automotive dept. It was a gong show yesterday 11/17/2024 He was the only one on at the desk for some reason.nHe handled everyone so well.nWe even purchased a set of tires!! I don't think they work on commission but he would deserve it!!
