Longhouse Manor B&B

We've stayed here twice and never had issues as one reviewer claimed. The owners are polite and the place is clean. It is getting a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but these are cosmetic issues. The views of Lake Seneca are phenomenal! The pool isn't very large for swimming, but if you're up for relaxing with a glass of wine or a chilled beer and watching the sunset, you'd be hard pressed to do worse. Prices are as expected for a B&B in this area.

Well, where do I begin. Check-in was a disaster. Two seperate people were equally rude. There were flies in the bed and on the floor. We has asked to use the common room for a total of three hours to celebrate a baptism and after an hour we were rudely asked to "wrap it up". Management is awful, disgustingly unprofessional. I would not recomed this place to a homeless person. After long arguments with "management" (what a joke), we left. These people do not know how to maintain a business correctly. I was management in two types of hotels for years. One thing I learn is not necessarily "customer is right" but you NEED to take care of your guests, who are paying you hundreds of dollars to feel welcome, not swear and threaten them. Aside from the unprofessionalism- it's dirty!!! Horrible horrible place. Horrible people. Stay far away from this place!

Take all the comforts of home, combine it with a beautiful lakeside view, and you'll have the Longhouse Manor. Game room is fantastic, the kitchen is spacious and fun to use, and to top it off, the breakfast and room service is phenomenal. The staff is polite, and very considerate. This wonderful getaway, given the more than reasonable price, deserves an easy 5 stars.

Amazing! Great room in a breathtaking building with 2 spectacular community living rooms, pool, billiards, ping pong, everything. We were blown away. Definitely coming back

I really wanted to really love the manor, but little things got in the way. Overall it's a nice place and you won't go wrong staying here. Breakfast was always good and a variety of items were available, including one hot item and a side meat like bacon or sausage. Quality choices included real maple syrup. The signs of deferred maintenance were everywhere. Starting with dead bushes, overgrown weeds; and Christmas lights that adorned dead trees. Multiple light bulbs burned out, sticking doors, and the claimed wi-fi non-existent. Don't look too close at the toilet if your squeemish about growth under the rim. At the price point they are charging, I wouldn't expect to find as many issues. Yet with some attention it would be a real gem.
