I had a good experience here. Everything took about 4 hours total. Everyone was great from start to finish, from triage to nurse to doctor. My father in law did get to come into the room with me, once I was in. Happy to be on the mend after great care, and thankful I was only there for 4 hours. One thing I will say is the waiting area is pretty uncomfortable. For people in a worse state, that wouldn’t be ideal. But their space is pretty small, so perhaps that’s all they have.
Twice I have had to go to the emergency room at this hospital and the 1st time went so well that yesterday I had to return for more assistance. The nurses went above and beyond to help me even coming out to the parking lot to get me in to the er. These people are working hard to try help many people and I appreciate all the work they are doing. The doctors are very helpful and efficient.
went to this hospital when the mask mandates were lifted and they weren’t allowing anyone in with patients which is understandable. fast forward to now october of 2022, i went to take my boyfriend in as he is experiencing quite severe symptoms and pain and quite possibly could be kidney failure. wait times are ridiculous and i was told i could not go in with him. after about 30+ minutes of waiting my boyfriend came back out to the car and decided not to proceed with their hospital care as there was two couples in the waiting room and a mother and daughter but i was told i’m not allowed back there with him. this isn’t the first horrible experience we’ve had with this hospital. staff is rude, wait times are outrageous for a small hospital and they have never ever given either one of us a positive experience. go to the devon or wetaskiwin hospital instead they are so much better
Lippy good for nothing 25 year old doctor. Wait times are outrageous. 3am need a CTSCAN? To bad they only do them between 8am & 11pm? Waste peoples time, poke there arm 30 times cause the incompetent nurses can’t find a vein. This place is a joke and your better off dying in your bed then in this place. 1/10 would not recommend.
Always great doctors! You wait but never as long as other hospitals
My husband had a great experience tonight while bringing our 5 year old in for an ear infection who was in absolute tears. My husband who despises having to go into the hospital due to the amount of hours it usually takes to get a prescription was blown away by Christopher Ti Lee, MD! He heard my son bawling his eyes out and stated to my husband that he can’t stand to hear children cry.. so he asked if it was ok to check his ear in the waiting room so he could give him a prescription right away. As a mother and father to 3 boys, we’ve had our fair share of hospital visits but have never received a more caring/professional doctor ever, which is why I’m leaving this review. A message from my husband “he has been crying so one of the doctors came out to check on him, incredibly nice man, Kristopher was scared of the ear checking device so he was patient and explained everything to him and let him touch it before looking in his ears. I have never seen such a caring and professional dr before”. Thank you so much Christopher, you are the definition of what a doctor should be! I hope more will be able to learn from you.
My son had an infection on his finger that has been swelling up for the past few days causing extreme pain. We waited 3 hours for the doctor to tell my son that he needs to dip his hands in salt water 3 time a day and adviced him to ask another doctor to leak the fluid built up. On top of that there's no rooms they help u in.they sit u down in chairs in front of the cube the nurses hang out in. The nurses were also rude my son mentioned. Very self centered staff and rude careless towards other people.
Nurse ignored doctors orders for patient, refused to speak to parents of a full care patient because the nurse didn’t like them, refused to take medical information pertinent to the client, illegally ignored an emergency order given by a doctor, was belligerent, and let a young woman who was waiting in the lobby pass out without giving any medical assistance whatsoever even once she was informed by a client of her condition. I am from the USA and if this hospital was where I lived, it wouldn’t be open. Currently having to drive to a whole different hospital due to Leduc hospitals malpractice and total disregard for their patients health. I would advise the Leduc health board or whoever manages this hospital to take a look at what happens in the emergency ward at night because what they are doing is not only wrong, it’s against the law. My advice, if your in an emergency, go to literally any other hospital but Leduc. -10 stars
I’m only giving one-star for the triage nurses as they truly did care about me. But other that that, I had a horrendous experience. I had a temp of 104’F and I had to obviously wait for 8 hours in the ER on not so busy day- only 5-7 patient infront of me but Ofcourse I wasn’t “dying dying” so we all had to wait. Finally, when the doctor arrived - DR. ALAN BRILZ - I did not have health insurance at the time and he was concerned about his money on how was I gonna pay his hourly fees although he treated me for max 15 mins out of which 3 mins he checked me and other 12 mins he was not present in the room. Anyway, I assured him I want to get treated ASAP because I was feeling nauseous and coughing constantly but he was stuck in the fact if I am paying by credit, debit or cash cuz otherwise he will have to “chase me for money” and he will add “interest on the charges”. For the first time, I met a doctor who was more concerned for his mere payment than treat a friggin patient! Also, side note- I think he lacked etiquettes on how to check a patient and not giving enough time to settle down for a check up - because again he’s worried whether or not he’ll get paid and he was rushing all the way. FYI- I ended up paying around $200 for his 3 minute checkup. After that day, I had decided that I would rather suffer or die at home than ever go to a hospital : Literally it reflects, how much he cares for the patient and how humane he was. I really wish nobody else got treated and humiliated by him the way I was :
I'm not sure what's causing delays but this place can be organized better. I'm sure things can be expedited, The worst part is that triage staff don't give you a lot of info on wait times and DR availability Nurses can be more comforting and assuring especially for people with disabilities and infant's
