Kanata Tire

Interesting shop that was highly recommended by a friend, they don't seem to want your business if you're interacting online with them. Consistent inquiries managed to get a quote after weeks (like pulling teeth) and it wasn't even a great quote, follow up inquiry and no response, really lackluster to say the least, but honestly I'm happy because that's likely an indication of their overall service anyway. In contrast I logged onto TireRack last night, ordered my rim and tire package, everything was mounted and shipped within 3 hours, will pick up in Ogdensburg and save about $500 or so on the package, I've been doing this for years, its so easy, this experience reinforced my decision.

They are very friendly and helpful, but not without flaws. They mismatched my rims, and it's been 3 weeks now I've been waiting to get it sorted out. They also installed a tire with a leak. They did fix it quickly and said it was the valve. So, a bit of a mixed bag.

Amazing experience getting my winter tires purchased and installed here. Matt was really helpful and made it a fun experience! The service was supposed to take 2 hours but ended up finishing up in 45 min! Thanks again!

Excellent service, crazy pace at this store at all times but they always accommodate you with a smile. Packages available for both winter and summer tires on either alloy or metal rims to suit every budget and Happy will always do everything within his power to ensure that you leave the store completely satisfied. They also offer storage of your tires so that you do not the hassle of dragging them home with you and back once they need changing. I have read some negative reviews but of course, you can't always please negative people. I understand that when the reception is packed full of people, the telephone is ringing off the hook, Happy is fighting fires in the front of the house by literally wheeling and dealing and also hands on in the garage at the same time, it may seem chaotic and there may be a wait, but at winter/summer tire transition time, it is always chaotic. The sofas could be better, the reception could be roomier, there could be a lot of things that could be enhanced to make the customer experience a little more comfortable, but the bottom line is, you are there to either change your existing tires, buy tires or buy tires and rims and this place is bar none the cheapest and best location in Ottawa to get the best deals on top brands that are suited exactly to the vehicle that you drive in with. I highly recommend that if you are in need of either tires, rims, advice or storage, drop by and talk to Happy and he will always give you the best advice for the best price.
