If you love seafood lobster and crab this restaurant is for you. They are not just another BIG lobster restaurant, they also have dim sum and regular Chinese dishes on their menu. Unlike some others restaurant you can only pick from their set menu. I love how they use french fries on their lobster. My kids love it. Their dim sum quality is very good as well. Their service is excellent as well. Price is on the high side but is fair. Parking: Lots of parking here.
Food quality was not as good as we expected. Our lobster wasn’t fully cooked, as it was quite raw. Also the fried rice was not good at all, very dry and barely any flavour. Their dessert was a couple of bean jelly. The beans were still hard and it didn’t taste good. The dinner was not worth the price we are paying. Only the service was good.
Newly renovated Chinese restaurant that focus on seafood. It’s good for big group of people and seating is comfortable with high ceilings. However, the noise level is pretty bad. I enjoyed the king crab and lobsters, both were cooked to perfection. The fried fish is my least favourite dish. For a high end restaurant with nice decor, I’m surprised to see that they use plastic plates and dishes. The biggest issue we have is most of the food come out at almost the same time. We couldn’t catch up with the speed and feel very rushed. Hope they improve the service to deliver a better dinning experience.
The lobster tower presentation is impressive. All the dishes of beef, pork, veggie, fried rice and fish was good. It came with complimentary soup and dessert. Lost 1 star because: 1. lobster taste wasn't consistent, some more spicy, some not much taste, some a bit salty. Opinion from the 11 of us. 2. We asked for wet nap and there wasn't any which is fine. But it would be great if the server tell us we could use the clear gloves... it is at the last shelf in the cart that is on the side of our table. No one is going to look through the cart thinking its for the employee use. Overall, clean restaurant, good food, elegant interior and attentive staff. Will consider coming back.
Pricey, Great presentation, but low quantity like French style food Taste is good, but a little under flavoured. I'm guessing they're trying to go for "healthy" eating for seniors taste. Not too salty, not too sweet, everything flavor wise is just barely enough. Left me feeling something is missing. There's MSG in the food but lightly done, so that's a plus. Other Dim Sum places are usually quite heavy handed on the MSG. Steamed Rise noodles was the best highly, the rise noodles skin was just the right consistency, the meat filling was just right. Most other Dim Sun restaurants either makes them too thin, or too soft, or not enough filling, or doesn't taste good. The fried rice, ribs, veggie, mini steam cakes, Steamed Beef balls and lobster all tasted good, but nothing really stands out except for that Steamed Beef noodles. The Tea was just right, flagrant, but as usual that just depends on how many times the pot has been refilled. Overall the food was good. The kids and families had a good time. The place is big and spacey, so it feels very relaxing. The staff are great and friendly. Yes, I'll recommend this place, but if you want food with a stronger punch, perhaps this Dim Sum place is not for you. The flavour are more suitable for seniors Dim Sun goers.
Called a few days before to make reservations for 6pm on Sunday for 8 people. We were told they were fully booked at 6pm and told they have availability at 5pm. Fine, early dinner it is, even though it's pretty obvious we wouldn't be done eating by 6pm. We arrived on time and surely, the restaurant quickly started filling up after arrival. However, was still not full even at 6:30pm. Restaurant itself is beautiful. Clean, open space, with endless amounts of chandeliers to brighten up the room. They do however, put the tables too close together, as my husband wasn't even able to get out of his chair without hitting the chair of the lady behind us. The tables are also too small for the types of the dishes they serve at this restaurant. For those who don't know, this type of seafood meal is known for their beautifully stacked towers of seafood. But doing so, they also come on massive plates, which do not fit on their tables if you have anymore than 4 dishes ordered. The servers kept stacking things on top of each other, which is not what you would expect from a meal that is essentially fine dining experiences. We even had one remove a dish from the middle and literally put it ON TOP of my husband's eating utensils, put her dish down and tried to leave. Needless to say, I had some comments for her. I've been to a lot of restaurants that serve this type of meal and never had I come across one with servers that have a complete disregard for their customer's space or hygiene of their utensils. When it came down to the food, it was just ok. Some dishes which were suppose to be spicy, ended up tasting kind of sweet. The steamed fish was absolutely nasty. Tasted like a mouthful of muddy sand. The beef cubes and veggie dishes were good. But we don't come to this restaurant for beef cubes and veggies. Don't think I'll be coming back to this place. For close to a thousand dollar dinner, I would expect better food and service than just mediocre. Parking: Endless amounts of spots available
2022 September 4 If your looking for a cheap meal, this isn't the place for you. If your looking for lobster with a decent atmosphere, you've come to the right place. The lobster and seafood is the star here. The other dishes are not bad either, but really, it won't be the reason why you are here. The lobster with fries combination is actually very good. The hints of garlicky spiciness complements the flavor of lobster. The salted egg lobster version is also just as good. The garlic beef chunks with veggies are also very good. Tender and bursting with flavors. Free Parking available. Service was good considering it was early 4pm.
This is my first time going to Jumbo Lobster. It’s the sister company of Fisherman Lobster. The menus are pretty much identical. We got the combo that comes with soup, 3 styles of king crab, lobster, snow peas, and dessert for $499. We also ordered fried noodles & sweet and sour pork. The combo was for 4 people, but for 5 adults we were stuff. The food was amazing here. We were seated instantly for our reservation on a Saturday evening. The service was pretty good here. Debit or cash payment only. The bill comes with a 12% mandatory tip.
The food was tasteful. Most of the fried food was too sweet for my taste. The soup was very good. The decor is nice. Service was good. We had allergies on our table ironically one was allergic to seafood and the other one was allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. They both survived with a full belly!
We ordered the lobster set dinner plus the half portion of BBQ baby pig. As a whole the foods are tasty and we enjoyed all of it, except the dessert quite disappointed. For all the high end restaurants they usually provided two type of desserts - pastry and sweet soup, but they only gave us the pastry. The young waiter who served us the dishes was very polite and friendly. But I was quite upset when we paid our bill that include 12% tips, the restaurant captain came to count the money and walked away without smile or say "thank you". Hope they can improve their service.
